Diikuti 60 Peserta dari 32 Negara, UNNES Sukses Gelar Summer Course 2025

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) kembali menyelenggarakan International Summer Course 2025 yang berlangsung selama tiga hari, pada Rabu-Jum’at 7-9 Mei 2025. Kegiatan ini mengangkat tema Living the Local Way: Nature, Art, and Culture, sebagai wujud komitmen UNNES dalam mewujudkan visi sebagai universitas bereputasi dunia dan pelopor kecermelangan pendidikan yang berwawasan konservasi.

Kegiatan ini secara resmi dibuka oleh Wakil Rektor Bidang Kerja Sama, Bisnis, dan Internasional, Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus., MT., IPM dengan dihadiri oleh para dekan dan wakil dekan bidang kerja sama dari seluruh fakultas di UNNES, tim kerja sama antar fakultas, serta para dosen dan instruktur kegiatan.

Kepala SDG dan Kantor Urusan Internasional UNNES, Alfath Yuniarto, dalam sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa program ini tidak hanya bertujuan untuk mengenalkan kekayaan alam dan budaya Jawa Tengah, tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi terhadap pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), khususnya tujuan ke-4 (pendidikan berkualitas), tujuan ke-11 (kota dan komunitas berkelanjutan), tujuan ke-13 (aksi terhadap perubahan iklim), dan tujuan ke-17 (kemitraan global).

Tahun ini, Summer Course diikuti oleh 60 peserta dari 32 negara, terdiri dari 37 mahasiswa dari mitra global UNNES serta 23 mahasiswa internasional yang saat ini sedang menempuh studi di UNNES melalui program beasiswa KNB, Darmasiswa, dan reguler internasional. Para peserta berasal dari berbagai negara seperti Pakistan, Tanzania, Mesir, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Yaman, India, Bangladesh, Somalia, Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, Aljazair, Filipina, Madagaskar, Kazakhstan, Jepang, Korea Selatan, Palestina, Papua Nugini dan lainnya.

Selama tiga hari pelaksanaan, peserta mengikuti berbagai aktivitas yang dirancang untuk memberikan pengalaman budaya, antara lain: workshop menyanyi dan bermain gamelan di Kampung Budaya, workshop membatik yang difasilitasi oleh Fakultas Teknik, live-in di Desa Wisata Kandri: menanam padi, membuat sabun dari daun pandan, dan eksplorasi Gua Kreo,dan city tour di Kota Lama Semarang.

Pada hari terakhir, peserta akan menjalani experiential learning di fakultas-fakultas UNNES untuk mendapatkan pengalaman langsung kehidupan akademik serta berinteraksi dengan mahasiswa dan dosen.

Dalam sambutannya, Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus., MT., IPM menyampaikan harapan agar para peserta dapat mengikuti seluruh rangkaian kegiatan dengan baik, serta berharap program ini menjadi jembatan diplomasi budaya dan penguatan jejaring akademik internasional.

“Semoga kebersamaan kita di UNNES ini menjadi cerminan persatuan dunia di masa depan,” ungkap Prof. Nur Qudus.

Program ini merupakan hasil kolaborasi Kantor Urusan Internasional dengan seluruh fakultas di UNNES, serta dukungan dari mahasiswa lokal yang berperan sebagai pendamping budaya dan duta internasionalisasi dari masing-masing fakultas.

Melalui kegiatan ini, UNNES kembali menegaskan peran strategisnya dalam diplomasi budaya, penguatan jejaring global, serta perguruan tinggi bereputasi internasional yang unggul dan berkelanjutan.
