Di Unnes, Dr (HC) Rita Subowo Ajak Ciptakan Lingkungan Pendidikan yang Lebih Kondusif

Sumber Daya manusia (SDM) Indonesia khusunya Pemuda Indonesia harus mempunyai daya saing pada berbagai sektor, baik secara regional dalam menghadapi Masyarakat Ekonomi Asia (MEA) maupun internasional yaitu menghadapi globalisasi.

Untuk menghadapi semua itu maka harus diciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang lebih kondusif, yaitu mengakomodasi pengembangan kompetensi soft skill dan hard skill secara seimbang.

’’Salah satunya penanaman Olimpism melalui kompetisi olahraga secara masal dan berjenjang di lingkungan sekolah dan perguruan tinggi diharapkan dapat membangun keselarasan dan keseimbangan,’’ tutur mantan Ketua Komite Olimpiade Indonesia (KOI) Dr (HC) Rita Subowo saat menjadi pembicara pada Seminar Nasional Keolahragaan di Auditorium Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), Rabu (2/3).

Dalam Seminar bertema “Konservasi Nilai-nilai Keolahrgaan Melalui Olympic Movement”, mantan Ketua Umum KONI 2007-2011 ini mengungkapkan, penanaman olimpisme secara terpadu dan konsisten di lingkungan pendidikan, dapat mendukung percepatan upaya pemerintah dalam melaksanakan Program Revolusi Mental.

Caranya, melalui gerakan pendidikan jasmani yang terpadu dan berkesinambungan. Selain itu gerakan olimpisme juga akan mendorong dan mendukung promosi etika di dalam olah raga dengan semangat fair play,’’ jelasnya di hadapan 600-an peserta, terdiri dari mahasiswa, guru, dosen dan praktisi olahraga se-Indonesia.

Ketua Satuan Pelaksana Program Indonesia Emas (Kastlak Prima) Laksamana TNI (Purn) Ahmad Soetjipto yang juga hadir sebagai pembicara dalam acara tersebut mengajak agar kita terus merevitalitasi pembinaan olahraga di Indonesia dan membawa atlet tanah air pada posisi yang terhormat baik di lingkungan Asia, dunia, maupun Asia Tenggara.

“Merevitalisasi pembinaan olahraga agar kita bisa membawa atlet-atlet pada posisi yang lebih terhormat baik di lingkungan Asia, dunia, maupun Asia Tenggara,” jelasnya.

Ketua panitia Dr Tommy Soenyoto mengatakan, seminar ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan nilai-nilai olimpisme di masyarakat umum, mahasiswa, dan pelaku olahraga di Indonesia dan Jateng khususnya. Diharapkan, dengan pemahaman yang benar, nilai-nilai olaharaga seperti persahabatan, kejujuran, dan sportivitas terbangun dengan baik.

”Paham olimpisme mengajarkan nilai-nilai filosofi tentang pendidikan, kebudayaan, penghargaan pada prinsip, etika, dan perdamaian. Olimpisme juga mengharmoniskan kehidupan dalam pembinaan fisik, jiwa dan kemuliaan manusia seutuhnya,” katanya.
