Delapan Mahasiswa UNNES Ikuti PPL dan KKN Internasional di PKBM KBRI Singapura, Implementasikan MBKM

Rektor Uiversitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) melepaskan 8 mahasiswa untuk mengikuti program Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) dan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) di PKBM KBRI Singapura secara daring, Minggu (03/10).

Rektor UNNES, Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman Mhum dalam sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa pandemi tidak menghalangi para mahasiswa untuk tetap produktif.

“Pandemi tidak menjadi alasan bagi para mahasiswa untuk tetap produktif dalam akademik. Dalam rangka pengembangan kapasitas UNNES, mahasiswa memiliki spirit keilmuan untuk mewujudkan UNNES sebagai rumah ilmu pengembang peradaban Indonesia,” tutur Rektor UNNES.

Prof Fathur juga menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan PPL dan KKN UNNES merupakan wujud komitmen UNNES dalam mengimplementasikan program Kampus Merdeka Merdeka Belajar.

“UNNES memfasilitasi dan memberikan akses secara penuh kepada para mahasiswa untuk melakukan kegiatan atau program-program demi pemenuhan hak merdeka belajar, pengembangan diri, dan menjadi pribadi yang senantiasa bertumbuh” ungkap Rektor UNNES.

Kedelapan mahasiswa UNNES yang mengikuti program PPL dan KKN di singapura tersebut diterima langsung oleh Duta Besar Republik Indonesia untuk Singapura H E Suryo Pratomo.

“Persoalan yang ada di sekolah Singapura adalah kurangnya tenaga pengajar karena adanya rotasi guru. Oleh karena itu, saya sangat berterima kasih dan sangat mengapresiasi UNNES karena telah mengirimkan mahasiswanya untuk melaksanakan program PPL dan KKN di PKBM KBRI Singapura,” jelasnya.

Dubes RI untuk Singapura juga berpesan kepada para mahasiswa UNNES yang mengikuti program PPL dan KKN agar menggunakan kesempatan untuk membuka wawasan sebagai bekal untuk menjalani kehidupan yang akan datang.

Sementara itu, Atase Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan KBRI Singapura, Dra Veronica Enda W MSc menyampaikan tujuan dari PKBM KBRI Singapura yaitu untuk memberikan akses pendidikan berkualitas bagi warga negara Indonesia (WNI) di Singapura yang mengalami putus sekolah agar mendapat kesempatan untuk tetap dmelanjutkan sekolah.

Dra Veronica menerangkan bahwa pelaksaan program PPL dan KKN mahasiswa UNNES di PKBM KBRI Singapura dimulai pada bulan Agustus hingga akhir November. Adapun latar belakang pendidikan 8 mahasiswa peserta PPL dan KKN tersebut meliputi prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (2 orang ), Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (2 orang), Pendidikan Matematika (2 orang), dan Pendidikan Kimia (2 orang).
