Bila Tari dan Keroncong di Negeri Gajah Putih

Delegasi Tim Muhibah Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang  (Unnes) memukau peserta konferensi akademik se-ASEAN di Kota Hat Yai, Provinsi Sonkhla, Thailand, (6-8/12).  Konferensi yang mengambil tema “Venturing into ASEAN Community, Bringing up The Cutting Edge of Science and Technology“ merupakan acara yang diprakarsai oleh Persatuan Mahasiswa Indonesia di Thailand (Perwitha). Acara itu mendapatkan dukungan penuh oleh Pemerintah Indonesia melalui KBRI Thailand.

Tim  Unnes terdiri atas tim tari, keroncong, serta fungsionaris Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Keluarga Mahasiswa (BEM KM), Dewan Perwakilan Maahasiswa (DPM), MPM, Senat Mahasiswa, dan Forum Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM).

Turut serta pula Staf Ahli Pembantu Rektor III Unnes Tommi Yuniawan, Pembantu Dekan III Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Unnes Syahrul Syah Sinaga, serta pendamping keroncong yang juga dosen Seni Drama Tari dan Musik (Sendratasik) FBS Unnes Abdul Rachman. Melalui seni, mereka mendapatkan kesempatan membawa nama Unnes di forum internasional.

Tim tari Unnes yang membawakan tari Sekaringrat menjadi salah satu pembuka konferensi yang dihadiri langsung oleh Duta Besar Indonesia untuk Thailand, Atase Kebudayaan dan Pendidikan Indonesia, serta hadir pula Gubernur Provinsi Sonkhla, Thailand.

Tari Sekaringrat menggambarkan harapan Unnes untuk menjadi bunga yang selalu bersemi melalui perilaku luhur dan prestasi mahasiswanya. Melalui berbagai hal itulah, mahasiswa dan segenap civitas academica akan dihargai dan dan bermartabat. Tari Sekaringrat sendiri diciptakan oleh dosen Sendratasik FBS Unnes, Restu Lanjari.

Selain itu, tim keroncong yang berkolaborasi dengan tari membawakan lagu dan tari Gambang Semarang, juga mendapatkan sambutan meriah dalam sesi “Gala Dinner”.
