BFSU Beijing-Unnes Sepakati Pertukaran Mahasiswa dan Dosen

Beijing Foreign Studies University dan Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) bersepakat untuk menjalin kerja sama dalam pengajaran, penelitian, dan publikasi karya ilmiah. Salah satunya lewat pengiriman mahasiswa dan dosen secara silang di antara kedua universitas tersebut.

Dari Beijing, reporter unnes.ac.id Sucipto Hadi Purnomo melaporkan, kesepakatan tersebut diambil dalam kunjungan delegasi Unnes yang dipimpin Rektor Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo di BFSU, Kamis (15/12). Tergabung dalam delegasi itu, Dekan FMIPA Prof Wiyanto, Dekan FIP Hardjono, Dekan FIS Subagyo, staf ahli Pembantu Rektor I Ali Formen, dan staf ahli Pembantu Rektor IV Hendi Pratama. Mereka disertai Atase Pendidikan KBRI di Cina, Chaerun Anwar.

Prof Yang Jianguo, Asisten Rektor BFSU mengungkapkan, pihaknya memandang Unnes sebagai prioritas dalam menjalin kerja sama. “Pengajaran bahasa Mandarin merupakan dasar kerja sama BFSU dengan Unnes. Apalagi sejarah persahabatan Tiongkok dan Indonesia sudah demikian panjang. Kedatangan delegasi Unnes merupakan bentuk persahabatan itu juga,” kata Prof Yang, didampingi sejumlah pejabat tingkat fakultas dan jurusan.

Dia juga menyampaikan harapan untuk bisa melakukan pertukaran mahasiswa dan dosen, terutama untuk pengajaran bahasa Indonesia bagi BFSU dan bahasa Mandarin bagi Unnes. “Kami punya pengalaman mendalam tentang pengajaran bahasa Indoenesia. Lulusan dari Bahasa Indonesia sekarang bergerak di semua bidang. Berjalan seiring dengan keterbukaan Cina, kami membutuhkan tenaga ahli berbahasa Indonesia lebih banyak, sebagaimana Indonesia makin banyak membutuhkan tenaga ahli bahasa Mandarin,” katanya seraya menyebutkan, BFSU yang berdiri sejak 1941 memiliki 49 program studi bahasa asing.

Dia juga menyebutkan, universitasnya membina tenaga ahli yang diharapkan menguasai 2-3 bahasa asing sekaligus pengetahuan umum dan sains. “Kami juga membina tidak hanya dalam bahasa tetapi juga pengetahuan umum lainnya. Karena itu, kami sangat membutuhkan tenaga ahli yang tidak hanya tahu bahasa tetapi juga hukum, ekonomi, dan sains. Itulah salah satu orientasi pengembangan di universitas kami,” katanya sambil menambahkan, kehadiran para dekan dari berbagai disiplin merupakan sesuatu yang bermakna dalam memulai kerja sama.

Menyambut ajakan tersebut, Rektor Unnes menyatakan harapannya agar kerja sama dapat terwujud dalam waktu secepat-cepatnya. “Tidak hanya dalam bidang pengajaran, tetapi juga dalam penelitian bersama dan publikasi, kita perlu melakukannya dengan BFSU,” kata Prof Sudijono.

Seusai dialog antara Rektor Unnes dan Asisten Rektor BFSU –Rektor BFSU Chen Zulu tak bisa hadir karena baru saja dipromosikan menjadi Rektor Universitas Rakyat– dilakukan pertemuan intensif antara anggota delegasi Unnes dan Wakil Dekan Fakultas Studi Asia-Afrika Sun Xiaomeng yang disertai Ketua Jurusan Bahasa Indonesia Wang Feiyu.
