UICRIC 2018, Dirjen Risbang : Kita Mesti Bersiap Menuju Revolusi Industri 4.0

Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LP2M) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) kembali menyelenggarakan UNNES International Conference on Research Innovation and Commercialization (UICRIC), Sabtu (10/11).

Konferensi yang bertempat di The Wujil Resort and Conventions Semarang ini, menghadirkan Direktur Jenderal Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan Kemenristkedikti RI Dr Muhammad Dimyati.

Hadir sebagai Keynote Speaker, Dr Dimyati menjelaskan pentingnya civitas academika bersiap menghadapi revolusi industri 4.0.

“Dengan maraknya ekspansi dunia digital dan internet ke kehidupan masyarakat, terutama dalam lima tahun terakhir ini menandakan bahwa Revolusi Industri 4.0 sebenarnya sudah masuk dan dipraktikkan di Indonesia terutama di bidang perindustrian atau manufaktur,” jelas Dr Dimyati.

Pada penerapan awal Revolusi Industri 4.0, lanjutnya, Indonesia berfokus pada Iima sektor manufaktur, yaitu industri makanan dan minuman, industri tekstil dan pakaian, industri otomotif, industri kimia, serta industri elektonik. Tentunya revolusi industri ke-4 ini memiliki dampak positif maupun negatif. Revolusi Industri 4.0 memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan tingkat pendapatan global, meningkatkan kualitas hidup bagi masyarakat dunia, serta meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas.

Sehingga topik mengenai Revolusi Industri 4.0 sangat relevan untuk dijadikan pembahasan pada berbagai kesempatan, termasuk international conference pagi ini, dengan harapan dapat mempersiapkan Sumber Daya Manusia yang mampu berkompetisi dengan menciptakan inovasi-inovasi baru yang kreatif.

Dalam sambutan pembukanya, Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik Prof Dr Rustono MHum berharap kegiatan mampu menjadi terobosan untuk bertukar gagasan, terutama antar presenter.

“Luaran kegiatan diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi keberlangsungan hidup masyarakat. Perlunya penelitian disusun dengan pengetahuan, paradigma, pendekatan dan cara berpikir yang komperehensif sehingga mampu membantu memetakan masalah-masalah yang dapat menghambat efektivitas pembangunan,” ungkap Prof Rustono.

Ketua kegiatan Evi Widowati SKM MKes melaporkan, kegiatan diikuti oleh peserta dari berbagai negara dengan dihadiri oleh lebih dari 100 presenter yang akan mempresentasikan hasil penelitian dan pengadian masyarakatnya.

Selain Dr Dimyati, kegiatan yang kali kedua terselenggara ini, juga turut menghadirkan keynote speaker seperti Bunsho Ohtani (Hokkaido University), Jakprong Kaewkhao (Nakhon Panthom Rajabhat University), Mohamed Nor Azhari Azman (Sultan Idris Education University), Karolin Rak (Jagiellonian University), dan Simon Musgrave (Monash University).
