Jurusan PKn Selenggarakan Workshop Pengembangan Kurikulum KBKK dan KKNI

Jurusan Politik dan Kewarganegaraan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) mengadakan Workshop Pengembangan Kurikulum KBKK dan KKNI dengan menghadirkan Kaprodi Kaprodi S1 Departemen Politik dan Pemerintahan FISIPOL UGM Abdul Gaffar Karim SIP MA pada Selasa (24/4) bertempat di Padepokan Karakter Gedung C4 FIS UNNES.

Peserta Kegiatan ini adalah seluruh dosen dan beberapa perwakilan mahasiswa Jurusan PKn FIS UNNES. Pada kesempatan ini, Moh Aris Munandar selaku Kaprodi Ilmu Politik UNNES berkesempatan untuk membuka sekaligus memberikan sambutan dalam kegiatan Workshop tersebut.

Dalam sambutannya, Aris Munandar menyampaikan bahwa pada tahun 2018 terdapat perubahan kurikulum, maka sangat perlu diadakan suatu sharing pendapat dengan Perguruan Tinggi lain, sehingga nantinya kurikulum yang terbentuk dapat menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan zaman.

Sejalan dengan apa yang disampaikan Aris Munandar, Abdul Gaffar Karim dalam pemaparannya menyampaikan beberapa informasi terkait dengan pelaksanaan kurikulum di Departemen Politik dan Pemerintahan UGM. Ia menyampaikan bahwa di UGM hanya ada satu Prodi S1 Ilmu Politik dan Pemerintahan yang kemudian di jenjang berikutnya terdapat Prodi S2 Politik dan Pemerintahan dan S3 Ilmu Politik.

Selain itu, lebih lanjut Abdul Gaffar Karim menyampaikan bahwa filosofi DPP UGM awalnya bernama Jurusan Ilmu Pemerintahan, dimana diawal berdirinya bertujuan untuk menghasilkan birokrat senior. Hal ini berarti, di awal berdirinya DPP adalah lebih berorientasi pada output, mengesampingkan proses.

Tujuan DPP diawal ini lebih bersifat pragmatis. Namun, pada tahun 1980an Pemerintah Amerika banyak menggulirkan beasiswa, termasuk pada para akademisi DPP. Hal inilah yang membawa angin segar bagi Jurusan Ilmu Pemerintahan (pada waktu itu). Jurusan lebih berorientasi pada analisis politik, ketimbang pemerintahan.

Dalam perkembangan selanjutnya, peninjauan kurikulum di DPP UGM dilakukan kurang lebih sekitar 5 tahun sekali. Pertama, Pedoman awal yang dilakukan adalah dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan (ilmu politik secara global) terkini. Sementara, KKNI hanya dibuka saat akhir saja.

Kedua, pedoman yang digunakan untuk peninjauan kurikulum adalah berdasarkan survei alumni. Dengan survei ini seringkali ditemukan hal-hal berharga yang tak terduga. Ketiga, cara untuk melakukan peninjauan kurikulum adalah dengan mengundang alumni menjadi dosen tamu. Melalui hal ini, banyak sekali ide yang bisa digunakan untuk melakukan penataan kembali kurikulum.
