Dikukuhkan sebagai Guru Besar, Ida Zulaeha: Menulis Tingkatkan Literasi Humanis

Dosen Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang, Ida Zulaeha, bakal dikukuhkan sebagai guru besar dalam bidang Ilmu Pendidikan Bahasa, Senin (14 Mei 2018), di auditorium kampus Sekaran, Gunungpati, Semarang.

Dalam pengukuhannya, Ida Zulaeha bakal menyampaikan orasi ilmiah berjudul “Model Pembelajaran Menulis Bahasa Indonesia Berbasis Multikultural untuk Peningkatan Literasi Humanis dan Kesadaran Berbahasa”.

“Menulis merupakan salah satu aspek keterampilan berbahasa terpenting, yang hanya bisa dilakukan jika sudah melewati keterampilan menyimak, membaca, dan berbicara. Menulis bisa dibilang menjadi keterampilan berbahasa paling sulit karena menuntut kita untuk memiliki penguasaan berbahasa yang baik, yang berbeda dengan keterampilan berbicara,” ujar perempuan kelahiran Kudus, 9 Januari 1970 itu, kepada unnes.ac.id, di ruang UPT Pusat Humas, Rektorat UNNES lantai II, Jumat, 11 Mei 2018.

Koordinator Program Studi S-2 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Pascasarjana UNNES itu mengatakan, keterampilan menulis mampu mengajarkan peserta didik untuk lebih toleran dan menghargai sesama. Sejak 2007, Ida meneliti dan mengembangkan model pembelajaran keterampilan menulis kreatif, yakni model inkuiri sosial dan sinektik sosial. Sebelumnya, ia melihat fenomena peserta didik yang kurang memiliki kesantunan berbahasa ketika berkomunikasi dengan orang di sekitarnya.

Tujuan model inkuiri sosial untuk mengembangkan keinginan dan motivasi peserta didik untuk mempelajari prinsip dan konsep sosial, mengembangkan keterampilan ilmiah sehingga mampu bekerja seperti ilmuwan, dan membiasakan peserta didik bekerja keras untuk memperoleh pengetahuan sosial.

Adapun model sinektik sosial dirancang untuk membiasakan peserta didik berpikir kreatif metaforis untuk memperoleh satu pandangan baru. Mereka diajak memecahkan masalah dan memahami bagaimana memulai esai, mendekati konflik multikultural, mengatasi kebingungan, membangun empati, ekspresi kreatif, dan wawasan dalam hubungan sosial multikutural serta perasaan hangat kepada sesama yang berbeda budaya.

“Kedua model itu direkomendasi untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis bahasa Indonesia berbasis mutikultural bagi peningkatan literasi humanis dan kesadaran berbahasa,” ujar penulis buku Teori Dialektologi, Dialek Sosial dan Regional (2016) itu.

Ida Zulaeha menyelesaikan S-1 pada Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia IKIP Negeri Malang, S-2 pada Prodi Linguistik Universitas Gadjah Mada, dan S-3 pada Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
