Debat Mahkamah Konstitusi Kembali Digelar

Mahkamah Konsititusi (MK) Republik Indonesia, kembali menggelar Kompetisi Debat Konstitusi Mahasiswa Antar Perguruan Tinggi se-Indonesia 2018, yang digelar di Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Selasa (3/4) sampai Kamis (5/4) mendatang. Kompetisi tersebut sendiri digelar untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran berkonstitusi serta meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mendalami dan memahami masalah-masalah Pancasila dan konstitusi.

Mantan Ketua MK RI Arief Hidayat mengatakan, jika kompetisi debat tersebut dilakukan untuk mengajarkan pemahanan kepada mahasiswa tentang konsititusi Indonesia dan sistem hukum Indonesia yang berlandaskan Pancasila. “Dari kompetisi ini mahasiswa diperkenalkan pemahaman hukum di Indonesia melalui metode debat. Sekaligus mencetak ahli hukum di Indonesia.

Ia menjelaskan jika program tersebut sudah digelar rutin setiap tahunnya dan dibagi menjadi wilayah Timur, Barat dan Tengah. Wilayah Tengah sendiri tahun ini diadakan di UNNES, total ajang ini diikuti 72 perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Masih kata Arief, mahasiswa Indonesia perlu dibekali pengetahuan hukum Indonesia sesuai dengan karakter bangsa, terlebih saat ini pengaruh dari luar cukup tinggi termasuk masalah hukum.

“Hukum di Indonesia beda dengan negara barat, karena hukum di Indonesia itu ber Ketuhanan, bukan sekuler. Itu diamini dari pembukaan UUD yakni kalimat dengan Rahmat Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa. Kalau di hukum Indonesia Keadilan Berdasarkan Ketuhaanan YME,”ucapnya.

Sementara itu Rektor UNNES Prof Fathur Rokhman menjelaskan, jika dirinya memberikan apresiasi, ia pun berharap dalam kompetensi tersebut mahasiswa UNNES bisa memberikan hasil yang terbaik saat final ditingkat nasional akan semakin meningkat. “Dari ajang ini mahasiswa diharapkan bisa mengembangkan budaya perbedaan pendapat, selain itu juga bisa memahami implementasi Pancasila dan perubahan UUD 1945.

Demikian juga Dekan Fakultas Hukum UNNES Dr Rodiyah, menambahkan jika tujuan penyelenggaraan kegiatan tersebut untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran berkonstitusi. Kedua, meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mendalami dan memahami masalah-masalah Pancasila dan konstitusi. “Ajang ini juga mendorong peningkatan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menjelaskan teks konstitusi (pasal-pasal UUD 1945), dengan perkembangan dan dinamika praktik ketatanegaraan.

Dalam kompetisi tersebut, nantinya akan dipilih sebanyak 24 perguruan tinggi yang terdiri atas juara I, juara II, juara III dan semifinalis, serta empat tim babak perempat final di Kompetisi Tahap Regional, yang akan masuk pada Tahap Nasional.

Seluruh 24 perguruan tinggi tersebut nantinya akan mengikuti Kompetisi Debat Konstitusi tingkat Nasional, yang akan berlangsung pada taggal 6-9 Mei 2018.
