Buka Kelas Internasional, UNNES Siap Bersaing di Tingkat Global

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) saat ini sedang meningkatkan reputasinya di kancah internasional. Salah satu strategi untuk membuat UNNES lebih dikenal kalangan masyarakat dunia adalah dengan membuka kelas internasional untuk mahasiswa dari penjuru dunia. Kelas ini merupakan sarana besar bagi UNNES untuk memperkenalkan keunggulan universitas dan menyejajarkan diri dengan perguruan tinggi tingkat internasional.

Menurut Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik, Prof Dr Zaenuri SE Msi Akt,  tahun ini mahasiswa luar negeri dapat mendaftar ke UNNES mulai pada tanggal 4 Februari – 1 Juli 2019  melalui laman Internasional Office (http://oi.unnes.ac.id/).

Lebih lanjut, Prof Zaenuri menyampaikan bahwasanya dalam penerimaan mahasiswa luar negeri, UNNES akan melakukan seleksi melalui dua tahapan yaitu tahap verifikasi nilai dan wawancara yang akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 8 – 9 Juli 2019. Selain itu, UNNES juga memfasilitasi kelas internasional dalam negeri untuk calon mahasiswa yang berasal dari Indonesia hanya saja pendaftarannya berbeda dengan kelas internasional luar negeri. Pendaftaran untuk kelas intenasional dalam negeri dimulai pada tanggal 13 Mei – 13 Juli 2019 melalui Seleksi Mandiri Unnes Reguler (http://daftar.unnes.ac.id/). Setelah itu, calon mahasiswa akan melakukan ujian tertulis pada tanggal 20 Juli 2019, dan ujian Keterampilan pada tanggal 21 Juli 2019. Seleksi kelas internasional dalam dan luar negeri akan serentak diumumkan pada tanggal 27 Juli 2019. Tiga belas program studi (prodi) yang ditawarkan merupakan program studi S1 yang sudah terakreditasi oleh BANPT. Kurikulum yang akan diajarkan kepada mahasiswa telah disusun sesuai dengan kurikulum internasional. Prodi yang ditawarkan yaitu Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat, Teknik Kimia, Pendidikan Matematika, Ilmu Hukum, Sastra Jawa, Geografi, Ekonomi Pembangunan, Pendidikan Guru PAUD, Pendidikan Ekonomi Akuntansi, Pendidikan Ekonomi Koperasi, dan Pendidikan Ekonomi Administrasi Perkantoran, PJKR, dan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris.

Adanya kelas intenasional diharapkan UNNES dapat bersanding dengan perguruan tinggi tingkat dunia, dan tercetak mahasiswa berkualitas internasional yang mampu bersaing dengan mahasiswa di tingkat global.
