Beri Apresiasi, UNNES Buka Seleksi Mandiri Prestasi

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) terus berkomitmen untuk memberikan apresiasi kepada siswa-siswi berprestasi di Indonesia. Melalui Seleksi Mandiri Jalur Prestasi (SM Prestasi), UNNES membuka kesempatan emas bagi para siswa yang memiliki prestasi akademik maupun non-akademik untuk menjadi bagian dari kampus konservasi ini.

Seleksi Mandiri Jalur Prestasi UNNES bertujuan untuk menjaring talenta-talenta unggul berprestasi dari seluruh Indonesia. Jalur ini ditujukan bagi siswa yang telah menunjukkan prestasi gemilang di bidang akademik maupun non-akademik seperti olahraga, seni, sains, keorganisasian (Ketua OSIS dan Ketua MPK), dan juga keagamaan. Di sub bidang keagamaan, siswa yang telah menjadi hafidz Qur’an minimal 20 juz (bagi yang beragama Islam) maupun prestasi keagamaan lain (sesuai agama masing-masing) bisa mendaftar SM Prestasi UNNES. Inisiatif ini merupakan bentuk pengakuan UNNES terhadap berbagai talenta dan potensi yang dimiliki oleh generasi muda Indonesia.

“Kami menyadari bahwa prestasi seseorang tidak hanya diukur dari nilai akademik saja. Banyak di antara siswa kita yang memiliki bakat dan prestasi luar biasa di luar bidang akademik,” ujar Rektor UNNES, Prof. Dr. S Martono, M.Si.

Guru Besar Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis itu berharap, melalui jalur ini, UNNES dapat memberikan ruang yang lebih luas bagi para siswa berprestasi untuk dapat mengembangkan potensi mereka di UNNES.

Seleksi Mandiri Jalur Prestasi akan mempertimbangkan berbagai prestasi yang telah diraih oleh calon mahasiswa. Proses seleksi akan melihat dan memverifikasi sertifikat atau penghargaan yang telah diperoleh peserta.

Kepala Humas UNNES, Rahmat Petuguran menyampaikan bahwa siswa yang dinyatakan lolos melalui SM Prestasi akan mendapatkan beberapa keistimewaan.

“Peserta SM Prestasi tidak akan dikenakan Sumbangan Pengembangan Institusi (SPI) dan akan mendapatkan UKT kelompok rendah yaitu kategori 1 sebesar 500 ribu per semester atau kategori 2 sebesar 1 juta per semester,” ungkapnya.

Ia berharap, jalur ini dapat mendorong siswa-siswi berprestasi untuk terus mengasah dan menunjukkan bakat mereka. Seleksi Mandiri Jalur Prestasi tidak hanya menjadi pintu masuk bagi mereka untuk mendapatkan pendidikan tinggi yang berkualitas, tetapi juga sebagai platform untuk mengembangkan diri dan berkontribusi bagi masyarakat dan bangsa.

Tahun 2024 UNNES akan menerima 11.300 mahasiswa baru di 74 program studi D3/S1 di sembilan fakultas. Sebanyak 2.390 atau 21 persen berasal dari jalur SNBP, 3.522 atau sekitar 31 persen berasal dari jalur UTBK-SNBT, dan 5.388 atau sekitar 48 persen akan diterima melalui jalur Seleksi Mandiri UNNES, termasuk Seleksi Mandiri Prestasi.
