Berdayakan Masyarakat Desa, Tim UNNES GIAT 9 Desa Tuwel Raih Juara III Lomba Inovasi Desa KKN Kabupaten Tegal

Tegal (19/11/2024), mahasiswa UNNES GIAT 9 Desa Tuwel berhasil meraih juara III dalam Lomba Inovasi Desa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Kabupaten Tegal. Kompetisi ini diikuti oleh seluruh kelompok KKN di Kabupaten Tegal dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Dalam kompetisi tersebut, mahasiswa UNNES GIAT 9 Desa Tuwel menciptakan sebuah inovasi yang menggabungkan sistem budidaya hidroponik dan akuakultur dalam suatu sistem yang dinamakan Tasonik.

Tasonik atau Taman Berbantuan Akuaponik merupakan salah satu program kerja unggulan mahasiswa UNNES GIAT 9 Desa Tuwel. Program kerja tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya edukasi, kesadaran, serta kemampuan masyarakat desa dalam pengelolaan sampah.

Setelah selama kurang lebih dua minggu melakukan observasi di Desa Tuwel, para mahasiswa merumuskan beberapa program kerja, salah satunya adalah program Tasonik. Dalam program ini, para mahasiswa membidik kelompok jamiahan di Desa Tuwel sebagai agen pelopor peduli lingkungan, mengingat kondisi sosial budaya Desa Tuwel yang sangat kental akan religiusitas.

Dalam pelaksanaannya, para mahasiswa UNNES GIAT 9 Desa Tuwel melakukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan terkait pengelolaan sampah. Tim UNNES GIAT yang dibimbing oleh Drs. Akhmad Junaedi, M.Pd. ini juga turut serta menyokong keberlangsungan program melalui pembagian bibit tanaman, pupuk, serta pestisida organik kepada masyarakat desa.

Penyokongan tersebut dilakukan melalui kerja sama dengan beberapa dinas terkait yang meliputi Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Tegal, Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Pertanian Kabupaten Tegal, serta UPTD Perlindungan Tanaman Kecamatan Bojong. Hal tersebut dilakukan untuk meningkatkan minat, semangat, serta kepercayaan masyarakat dalam mengusung program ini.

Selama dua bulan pelaksanaan UNNES GIAT 9, masyarakat Desa Tuwel menyambut program Tasonik dengan antusias. “Melalui Tasonik, Desa Tuwel menjadi semakin asri dan sampah pun bisa dikelola dengan baik,” ujar Rita, salah satu warga Desa Tuwel.
