Beda dalam Keyakinan, Guyub dalam Persahabatan

Warga Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) memiliki keyakinan yang beragam. Namun, perbedaan itu tidak boleh menghalangi saudara sesama warga Unnes untuk berkarya dalam bingkai persahabatan.

Demikian kata Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum dalam Perayaan Natal Umat Kristiani Unnes, Jumat (8/1) di Gedung B6 Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni.

“Sebagai Muslim,” kata Fathur, “saya meyakini agama Islam. Namun, keyakinan itu tidak akan menghalangi saya bersahabat dan berkarya dengan Anda sekalian yang berbeda agama,” lanjutnya.

Dalam acara yang sama Prof Fathur bercerita  tentang empat lilin yang menyala. Lilin pertama bicara “Aku adalah Damai. Namun manusia tak mampu menjagaku, maka lebih baik aku mematikan diriku saja.”

Lilin kedua adalah Lilin Iman. Ia juga berkata “Aku adalah Iman. Sayang aku tak berguna lagi. Manusia tak mau mengenalku, untuk itulah tak ada gunanya aku tetap menyala.”

Lilin ketiga adalah Lilin Cinta. Ia berkata “Aku adalah Cinta. Tapi aku tak mampu lagi untuk menyala. Manusia tidak lagi memandang dan menganggapku berguna. Mereka saling membenci, bahkan membenci mereka yang mecintainya, membenci.

Karena tiga lilin padam, kondisi menjadi gelap. Beruntung masih tersisa satu lilin. “Aku adalah Lilin Harapan. Jika aku dapat terus menyala, aku bisa menyalakan tiga lilin lain yang sudah padam.

“Oleh karena itu, mari menjaga harapan dalam hidup kita,” kata Prof Fathur.

Dalam kotbah bertema “berjumpa dengan Allah dalam keluarga”, Romo Yohanes Gunawan Pr dari Paroki Santa Maria Fatima Banyumanik Semarang mengingatkan kita akan peran orangtua sebagai pendidik pertama dan utama bagi anak-anak terutama dalam bidang iman dan moral, untuk melakukan pendidikan suara hati, agar anak pada waktunya mampu membeda-bedakan mana yang benar mana yang salah, mana yang baik mana yang jelek, dengan demikian mampu hidup arif dan bijaksana sebagai warga masyarakat.

“Kita berjumpa dengan Allah dalam keluarga, bila keluarga menjadi tempat tumbuh dan berkembangnya benih kasih, yang berasal dari Allah, di antara anggota keluarga,” ungkap Romo yang juga dosen di Universitas katolik Soegijo Pranoto itu.

Selain dosen, tenaga kependidikan, dan mahasiswa Kristiani, hadir dalam kegiatan itu Rektor, dekan, ketua lembaga, unsur pimpinan, serta pensiunan dan alumni Unnes.
