Badan Informasi Geospasial MoU Dengan UNNES

UNNES yang diwakili oleh Wakil Rektor IV Bidang Perencanaan dan Kerjasama, Prof Dr Agus Nuryatin MHum menandatangani nota kesepahaman (MoU) dengan Kepala Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG) Prof Dr Ir Hasanuddin Z Abidin MSc Eng,kamis (10/10).

Tema yang diambil berisi tentang pemanfaatan dan pengembangan iptek terkait informasi geospasial untuk pengembangan tridharma perguruan tinggi.Dalam sambutannya Prof Hasanuddin menyampaikan bahwa Lembaga BIG yang dahulu bernama Bakorsurtanal telah lama bekerjasama dengan UNNES terkait penyediaan peta. ditambahkan oleh Prof Agus Nuryatin saya bangga bahwa kerjasama ini berdampak pada UNNES menjadi pusat dari Geospasial dan alam raya imbuhnya.

Kuliah Umum
Setelah penandatangann MoU acara dilanjutkan dengan kuliah umum oleh kepala BIG dengan topik Peran dan Manfaat Informasi Geospasial untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan di Indonesia. Acara yang dimoderatori oleh Dr Ir Ananto Aji MS di ikuti oleh 220 peserta yang terdiri dari 40 orang dari Tim MGMP Geografi Kota Semarang dan 180 orang dari mahasiswa jurusan geografi UNNES.
Prof Dr Ir Hasanuddin Z Abidin MSc Eng dalam kuliahnya menyampaikan peran informasi geospasial sangat penting untuk mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan di Indonesia. yaitu sektor di darat, laut maupun udara. Namun sayangnya Indonesia masih kekurangan hidrografer atau ahli pemetaan dasar laut karena masih minimnya minat mahasiswa khususnya untuk mempelajari hal tersebut. Padahal pemetaan dasar laut sangat penting untuk mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan di suatu negara.

Ditambahkan oleh Prof Hasannudin Kebijakan pemerintah saat ini yang sedang berjalan di bidang informasi geospasial salah satunya adalah kebijakan satu peta (One Map Policy) yaitu mengintegrasikan data-data tematik di seluruh Indonesia. Kebijakan satu peta memudahkan implementasi kebijakan-kebijakan pemerintah karena data bersumber dari satu lembaga yang dikelola oleh BIG dan dapat dipakai oleh lembaga lain. Pemusatan pengelolaan data spasial tersebut untuk menghasilkan berbagai peta tematik dengan satu sistem yang sama, contohnya sistem koordinat yang sama dan data dasar yang sama sehingga tidak ada data yang tumpang tindih di lapangan.

Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG) menyediakan data informasi geospasial dasar. Data informasi geospasial lanjutan banyak disediakan dan dimanfaatkan oleh berbagai instansi pemerintahan.BIG mempersilahkan mahasiswa untuk memanfaatkan data informasi geospasial dasar sebanyak-banyaknya, untuk skripsi maupun penelitian-penelitian lain. Data informasi geospasial dasar dapat diunduh secara gratis di http://tanahair.indonesia.go.id/portal-web. acara ditutup dengan penyerahan cinderamata dan foto bersama.h7
