Apel Berbahasa Jawa, Peringati Hari Bahasa Ibu

Ada yang berbeda pada apel pagi Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Universitas Negeri Semarang, Senin (20/2). Petugas apel mulai dari protokol, komandan, pembina, hingga pendoa, menggunakan bahasa Jawa. Terasa asing, beberapa peserta apel yang terdiri dari karyawan, dosen, dan pejabat fakultas menahan senyum.

“Para nayaka, sigra!” begitu tegas Teguh Supriyanto menyiapkan barisan. Ya, apel pagi itu diperingati sebagai hari bahasa ibu yang sedianya diperingati 21 Februari 2012. Tidak lain, semua petugas adalah dosen Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Jawa fakultas itu.

“Dinten basa ibu dipunpengeti amargi kita sampun kuwatos, basa asli sampun boten dipunginakaken malih kaliyan generasi sangandhap kita (hari bahasa ibu diperingati karena kita khawatir, bahasa asli sudah tidak lagi digunakan oleh generasi di bawah kita),” ujar Yusro Edy Nugroho, Ketua Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Jawa yang menjadi pembina.

Dalam amanatnya, Yusro menegaskan supaya kehadiran segenap karyawan maupun dosen tidak sekedar memenuhi kewajiban semata. Menawi saben tindak kantor namung presensi, maos koran, lajeng tindak malih, menika saged dipunwastani makarya nanging sanes makarti. Sejatosipun makarti menika kedah jumbuh kaliyan menapa ingkang dados jejibahan kita sami (Jika setiap hari ke kantor hanya presensi, membaca koran, kemudian pergi lagi, itu bisa dianggap makarya tapi bukan makarti. Yang disebut makarti haruslah selaras dengan apa yang menjadi tanggung jawab kita),” paparnya.

“Sampun dados jejibahan kita sami bilih gesangipun basa ibu gumantung kita piyambak, mila mangga ngginakaken basa ibunipun piyambak-piyambak (sudah menjadi tanggung jawab kita bersama jika keberlangsungan bahasa ibu bergantung diri kita sendiri, maka mari kita menggunakan bahasa asli),” ujar Yusro sambil mengajak untuk selalu mengajarkan bahasa asli kepada anak sendiri.

    bagus sekali. baru kali ini aku mendengar, acara apel di kampus menggunakan bahasa jawa.
    perlu dilestarikan dan dilanjutkan.

    mudah2an tidak hanya sekedar bahasa lesan yang selalu dikedepankan, tapi alangkah indahnya apabila kultur jawa yang selalu mengedepankan tepo sliro, andap asor dsb bisa selalu menjadi pedoman hidup sehari-hari seluruh rakyat Indonesia pada umumnya dan warga UNNES secara keseluruhan pada khususnya,,,
