Anak Tukang Sadap itu Resmi Menjadi Mahasiswa UNNES Dengan Bidikmisi

Beasiswa Bantuan Pendidikan Mahasiswa Miskin Berprestasi (Bidikmisi) dari Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi (Kemristekdikti) yang mewujudkan impian Rochayani untuk melanjutkan pendidikan Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Jurusan Soasiologi dan Antropologi.

Dari pekerjaan sebagai penyadap pohon karet dengan pendapatan Rp 37 ribu sudah dipastikan orang tua Rochayani akan sulit untuk membiayai kuliah. Hal itu disampaikan oleh Suprapto (ayah Rochayani) saat mengantar anaknya registrasi di gedung Auditorium Prof Wuryanto, Kampus UNNES Sekaran, Selasa (30/5).

Ia merasa senang anaknya bisa menikmati bangku kuliah dengan Beasiswa Bantuan Pendidikan Bidikmisi. “Saya tidak menyangka anak saya bisa kuliah, dan saya berterima kasih kepada UNNES dan Pemerintah yang sudah membantu mewujudkan cita-cita anak saya untuk menjadi guru”.

Hal serupa juga dirasakan Rochayani setelah menerima Kartu Tanda Mahasiswa (KTM) UNNES, karena dia sudah resmi menjadi mahasiswa UNNES. “Saya senang sekarang sudah menjadi mahasiswa UNNES, dan saya akan bersungguh-sungguh dalam kuliah. Saya harus punya berprestasi karena itu merupakan pertanggungjawaban saya kepada pemerintah yang telah memberikan Beasiswa Bantuan Pendidikan”.

Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan UNNES Bambang BR menyampaikan, UNNES sangat memperhatikan anak yang berprestasi tapi kurang beruntung secara ekonomi. Tahun ini UNNES mempunyai kuota Beasiswa Bantuan Pendidikan Bidikmisi sebanyak 1.200 dan akan ada penambahan kuota dari Kemristekdikti beberapa bulan kedepan.

Harapan selanjutnya, penerima Beasiswa Bantuan Pendidikan Bidikmisi ini harus terus berprestasi baik akademik maupun non akademik. UNNES akan memberikan perhatian besar serta memfasilitasi mahasiswa berprestasi untuk dapat berkarya di kancah internasional.

Penerima Beasiswa Bantuan Pendidikan Bidikmisi akan mendapatkan biaya hidup sebanyak Rp 650 ribu perbulannya.
