Agus Widodo Juara III Mahasiswa Berprestasi Nasional

Mahasiswa Sastra Inggris Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Unnes Agus Widodo menjadi juara III dalam Seleksi Mahasiswa Berprestasi Tingkat Nasional 2013. Kompetisi telah dimulai sejak Kamis (18/7) lalu dan hasilnya diumumkan Sabtu (20/7) malam di Aston Primiere Hotel, Bandung.

Agus ditetapkan sebagai juara III setelah mempresentasikan model pendidikan karakter dengan permainan monopoli yang telah dimodifikasi dengan pendekatan sastra. Meski mendapat pertanyaan tajam dari Dewan Juri, Agus berhasil mempresentasikan gagasannya dengan baik.

“Proses seleksi mahasiswa berprestasi sudah berlangsung sejak April lalu di tingkat jurusan, kemudian di tingkat fakultas, dan universitas,” kata Agus via telepon, Minggu (21/7) siang.

“Selain membuat dan mempresentasikan karya ilmiah kami juga diuji keterampilan bahasa inggris,” lanjut mahasiswa angkatan 2010 itu.

Juara I diraih Nadine dari Institu Pertanian Bogor (IPB). Adapun juara 2 diperoleh oleh Niwarahmat, mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia (UI).

Agus, yang mengaku tak menyangka bisa meraih juara III, bersyukur dengan prestasi yang baru diraihnya. Menurutnya, prestasi ini semakin meningkatkan semangatnya untuk meraih masa depan yang lebih baik.
