Abadikan Pengabdian, Peserta PPG SM3T Berlatih Menulis

Pengalaman para peserta Sarjana Mendidik di Daerah Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal (SM3T) selama mengabdi di daerah pengabdian sangat unik dan beragam. Ada peserta yang jalan kaki belasan kilometer menuju sekolah, ada yang ditaksir pemuda setempat, ada peserta yang dilarang pulang oleh warga, dan berbagai pengalaman lainnya.

Agar tak hilang, berbagai pengalaman tersebut diharapkan diabadikan melalui tulisan. Selain menjadi kenangan, tulisan dapat menjadi bahan belajar peserta SM3T angkatan berikutnya. Tulisan bahkan bisa digunakan untuk membaca relitas pendidikan di berbagai daerah.

Dari gagasan itulah, para peserta SM3T difasilitasi untuk belajar menulis artikel ilmiah populer, Senin (27/1). Melalui pelatihan bertajuk “Penulisan Karya Ilmiah Populer bagi Peserta PPG SM3T”, setidaknya 264 mahasiswa program PPG SM3T mengikuti pelatihan tersebut.

Adalah Redaktur Minggu Suara Merdeka Saroni Asikin yang menjadi faslitator pelatihan. Pria berambuts sebahu itu membimbing peserta menjadi “koki” bagi tulisan yang akan ditulisnya.

“Saat akan menulis, ibaratkan saja tulisan adalah sup. Untuk membuat sup, kita perlu belanja bahan-bahan tertentu di pasar,” katanya. “Selain bahan, fokuslah pada topik yang akan ditulis. Kalau kita mau buat sup, di pasar kita akan beli sayuran. Kalau kita tergoda untuk beli duren, tidak bisa digunakan untuk membuat sup,” lanjutnya.

Tak sekadar berdiskusi teknik penulisan, para peserta kemudian praktik menulis. Tema yang dipilih sederhana, yakni kegiatan sehari-hari dari bangun tidur hingga tidur kembali. Tulisan inilah yang kemudian dibahas bersama fasilitator kedua, Sucipto Hadi Purnomo, Kepala UPT Humas Unnes yang juga penulis buku Wong Jawa (Kok) Ora Ngapusi.
