846 Mahasiswa Ikuti GIAT Angkatan 15, UNNES Dorong Pengabdian Berdampak

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) secara resmi melepas 846 mahasiswa peserta UNNES GIAT Angkatan 15 dalam upacara pelepasan yang digelar di Auditorium UNNES, Senin (12/1/2026) sore. Kegiatan ini menandai dimulainya masa pengabdian mahasiswa UNNES di berbagai wilayah di Jawa Tengah.

Upacara pelepasan dihadiri langsung oleh Rektor UNNES Prof. Dr. S. Martono, M.Si., didampingi Ketua LPPM UNNES Prof. Dr. R. Benny Riyanto, S.H., M.Hum., C.N. Hadir pula Kepala Biro Hukum Setda Provinsi Jawa Tengah Haerudin, S.H., M.H., jajaran Wakil Rektor, Ketua Lembaga, serta para Dekan di lingkungan UNNES.

Dalam laporannya, Ketua LPPM UNNES Prof. Benny Riyanto menyampaikan bahwa rangkaian kegiatan UNNES GIAT Angkatan 15 diawali dengan pembekalan pada Senin pagi (12/1/2026), dilanjutkan upacara pelepasan pada sore hari. Selanjutnya, mahasiswa akan diterjunkan ke lokasi pengabdian pada 13–15 Januari 2026 dan melaksanakan kegiatan lapangan hingga 20 Februari 2026.

“Sebagai bagian dari penguatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, kegiatan Bakti Desa berupa gotong royong akan dilaksanakan setiap hari Jumat, disesuaikan dengan kondisi dan kebutuhan desa masing-masing,” jelasnya.

Sebanyak 846 mahasiswa UNNES GIAT Angkatan 15 akan diterjunkan ke 74 desa yang tersebar di 11 kecamatan pada empat kabupaten di Jawa Tengah, dengan pendampingan dari 38 Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan (DPL).

UNNES GIAT Angkatan 15 mengusung tema “Mahasiswa Berdampak Ngopeni Jateng” yang diwujudkan melalui tiga program strategis, yakni Gempur Rokok Ilegal, Pos Bantuan Hukum, dan Penguatan Ekonomi Kreatif.

Kepala Biro Hukum Setda Provinsi Jawa Tengah Haerudin mengapresiasi keterlibatan mahasiswa UNNES dalam mendukung program pemerintah daerah, khususnya dalam edukasi bahaya rokok ilegal serta peningkatan kesadaran hukum masyarakat melalui Pos Bantuan Hukum di tingkat desa.

Menutup rangkaian acara, Rektor UNNES Prof. S. Martono secara resmi melepas para mahasiswa sekaligus menyampaikan pesan agar senantiasa menjaga integritas dan keselamatan selama menjalankan tugas pengabdian.

“Saya mengimbau seluruh mahasiswa untuk menjaga nama baik UNNES di tengah masyarakat, menjunjung tinggi sopan santun, serta menghormati kearifan lokal,” ujar Prof. Martono.

Ia juga menegaskan bahwa kehadiran mahasiswa di tengah masyarakat diharapkan mampu memberikan manfaat nyata. “Jadilah mahasiswa yang berdampak dan mampu menghadirkan solusi atas persoalan masyarakat di tempat saudara mengabdi,” pungkasnya.
