6.000 Mahasiswa Diterjunkan KKN Posdaya

Ribuan mahasiswa mengikuti kegiatan pembekalan kuliah kerja nyata (KKN) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) di auditorium kampus Sekaran, Gunungpati, Semarang, Jumat (5/9/2014). Mereka disiapkan untuk terjun di beberapa daerah di Jateng.

Ketua LP2M Prof Totok Sumaryanto menyampaikan, peserta KKN 2014 kali ini sebanyak 6.000 mahasiswa. Rencananya para peserta akan terjun di lokasi KKN selama 45 hari. Dia menyebutkan penerjunan ada dua gelombang. Gelombang pertama diikuti mahasiswa non kependidikan sebanyak 1.500 mahasiswa.

“Gelombang pertama akan kami lepas Senin (8/9/2014) pekan depan, Sedangkan gelombang kedua akan diterjunkan pada 3 November mendatang. Untuk gelombang kedua ini diikuti oleh mahasiswa kependidikan sejumlah 4.500 mahasiswa,” katanya.

Lanjut Prof Totok, KKN kali ini mengangkat tema posdaya masyarakat. “Kami menggandeng Yayasan Damandiri karena mereka memiliki visi yang sama tentang konservasi meliputi pendidikan, kesehatan dan infrastruktur,” katanya.

Targetnya, lanjut Totok, di setiap desa yang menjadi lokasi KKN bisa terbentuk satu posdaya. Lantaran program KKN terus berlanjut, bagi desa yang sudah memiliki posdaya, mahasiswa tinggal memberdayakan kembali sampai ke marketing.

“Lokasinya untuk tahap satu di Demak Temanggung dan Wonosobo. Dan alternatif ada di Kota Semarang dan Kabupaten Semarang,” ungkapnya.

Dalam kesempatan itu, Ketua Yayasan Damandiri Prof Haryono Suyono turut hadir. Dia meminta agar mahasiswa mampu mengajak masyarakat untuk memberdayakan potensi yang dimiliki.

Sementara itu, Rektor Unnes Prof Fathur Rokhman mengatakan mahasiswa diharapkan mampu menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan yang diperoleh selama di perkuliahan dalam masyarakat. Selain bisa menghubungkan antara teori dan praktis, menurut dia mahasiswa juga ditunut memahami kebutuhan masyarakat. Dengan begitu mahasiswa mampu merancang program yang sesaui kebutuhan.

Adapun, terkait tema posdaya, kata dia, disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat setempat. Dia mengatakan, jika masih banyak warga yang buta huruf, perlu diupayakan program pemberantasan buta aksara. Begitu juga di bidang lainnya. “Yang penting bagaimana mahasiswa itu bisa membaur, dengan tokoh masyarakat untuk bersama membangun masyarakat sesuai potensinya,” katanya.

Menurut Prof Fathur, program KKN posdaya tak berhenti saat KKN saja. Melainkan berkesinambungan. Pihaknya menggandeng lembaga perbankan untuk memberikan pinjaman lunak bagi posdaya yang membutuhkan.
