5.545 Mahasiswa Baru Ikuti Orientasi Kepramukaan

Sebanyak 5.545 mahasiswa baru Unnes mengikuti pembukaan Orientasi Kepramukaan Perguruan Tinggi (OKPT), Minggu (21/8) di Universitas Negeri Semarang Kampus Sekaran. Mereka terdiri atas 5.216 mahasiswa baru program studi kependidikan dan 329 mahasiswa baru program studi non-kependidikan.

Kegitan ini tersebar di delapan fakultas dengan diawali upacara pembukaan, penanaman tunas kelapa di lingkungan Unnes, kemudian dilanjutkan safari menggunakan sepeda oleh empat pembantu rektor, ketua lembaga, kepala biro, dan ketua dewan racana.

Pembantu Rektor Bidang Administrasi Umum Drs Wahyono MM mengingatkan para mahasiswa baru agar bila kelak menjadi pembina atau guru, hendaknya bisa profesional. “Jangan hanya mengajarkan materi. Jangan hanya mengajar untuk memenuhi tugas saja. Tetapi mendidiklah. Sebagai guru dan pembina apalagi sebagai pramuka, kalian juga harus bertanggung jawab untuk mendidik siswa sampai bisa,” pesannya kepada peserta OKPT saat kenjungan di Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK) Unnes.

Ketua Panitia OKPT Racana Wijaya Unnes Ahmad Rouf menerangkan, kegiatan ini merupakan pengenalan awal pramuka di perguruan tinggi, khususnya Gugus Depan 14.111 – 14.112 Universitas Negeri Semarang. “Selain itu, kegiatan ini untuk mengembangkan potensi, bakat, minat, dan pendidikan karakter. Ada perbedaan pada penyelenggaraan OKPT tahun ini. Selain tema kegiatan ini yaitu ‘Cendikiawan Berkarakter, Itulah Pramuka’ juga jumlah peserta yang bertambah banyak, sehingga pendaftaran diselenggarakan secara online.”
