48 Mahasiswa dari 12 Negara Ikuti Pembukaan UNNES Summer Camp Batch 2

Sebanyak 48 mahasiswa internasional dari 12 negara mengikuti pembukaan UNNES Summer Camp Batch 2 “Go Green, Live Local” Tahun 2025 di Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Rabu (22/10).

Kegiatan ini difasilitasi melalui dana EQUITY Program sebagai bagian dari upaya memperkuat kerja sama internasional dalam bidang pendidikan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat, sejalan dengan indikator SDG 4-Pendidikan Berkualitas.

Peserta berasal dari berbagai universitas mitra di Asia, Eropa, Afrika, dan Pasifik, antara lain VIA College Denmark, Fujian University China, NEUST University dan Mindanao State University Filipina, serta peserta program BIPA UNNES dari Mesir, Thailand, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Timor Leste, Vanuatu, Papua Nugini, dan Zimbabwe.

Selain itu, hadir pula mahasiswa dari Yemen, Pakistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Sudan, Sudan Selatan, Vietnam, Mozambik, dan Korea Selatan.

Pembukaan kegiatan berlangsung di Gedung Rektorat UNNES dan dihadiri oleh Sekretaris Universitas, Wakil Dekan III Fakultas Teknik (FT), serta Wakil Dekan III Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK).

Dalam sambutannya, Wakil Rektor IV UNNES Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., IPM. menyampaikan bahwa program summer camp menjadi wadah pembelajaran global yang memadukan pendidikan, kebudayaan, dan konservasi lingkungan.

“Melalui kegiatan ini, kami memperkenalkan budaya Indonesia dan nilai konservasi melalui desa binaan UNNES. Mahasiswa internasional tidak hanya belajar bahasa dan seni, tetapi juga hidup bersama masyarakat untuk memahami kearifan lokal,” jelasnya.

Lebih lanjut, Prof. Nur Qudus menegaskan bahwa kegiatan ini juga menjadi bagian dari strategi UNNES memperluas global partnership dalam mendukung capaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“Program summer camp ini memperkuat kontribusi UNNES terhadap SDG 4 (Pendidikan Berkualitas) dan SDG 17 (Kemitraan untuk Mencapai Tujuan). Melalui kolaborasi internasional dan praktik lapangan berbasis lingkungan, UNNES terus meningkatkan reputasi akademik dan dampak sosialnya di tingkat global,” ungkapnya.

Sementara itu, Kepala Kantor Urusan Internasional (KUI) dan SDGs UNNES, Alfath Yanuarto, S.Kom., menjelaskan bahwa program ini memberikan kesempatan bagi mahasiswa asing untuk belajar langsung tentang konservasi dan budaya lokal.

“Selama program berlangsung, peserta akan mendapatkan pengalaman belajar di luar ruang kelas melalui kegiatan edukasi dan ekowisata. Mereka akan berinteraksi dengan masyarakat Desa Kandri, menjelajah Goa Kreo, dan menanam mangrove di Tapak Tugurejo,” paparnya.

Setelah acara pembukaan, para peserta mengikuti kegiatan fun games yang menghadirkan berbagai permainan tradisional Indonesia seperti bakiak dan enggrang. Kegiatan ini bertujuan mempererat keakraban antar peserta dan memperkenalkan nilai-nilai kebersamaan dalam budaya lokal Indonesia.

Kegiatan UNNES Summer Camp Batch 2 berlangsung selama tiga hari, mulai 22 hingga 24 Oktober 2025. Hari pertama diisi dengan pembukaan dan kegiatan interaktif di kampus UNNES, disusul kegiatan budaya dan konservasi di Desa Wisata Kandri, eksplorasi Semarang, serta penanaman mangrove di Tapak Tugurejo pada hari-hari berikutnya.

Melalui kegiatan ini, UNNES memperkuat posisinya sebagai kampus berwawasan internasional yang aktif mendukung pencapaian SDGs melalui kemitraan global, pembelajaran lintas budaya, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis konservasi.
