41 Mahasiswa Bidikmisi Studi ke Surabaya

Sejumlah 41 mahasiswa penerima Beasiswa Bidikmisi Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), mengikuti Studi Lapangan Bidikmisi ke kota Surabaya, 10-13 Februari 2013.

Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan (PR III) Unnes Prof Masrukhi mengungkapkan, kegiatan diselenggarakan oleh pengelola Bidikmisi Unnes dan diikuti oleh mahasiswa penerima Bidikmisi dengan kriteria tertentu, di antaranya ber-IPK tertinggi di angkatannya, peraih kejuaraan di tingkat nasional, pengurus Bidikmisi Scholarship Comunity (BSC), dan magang BSC.

“Selain itu mereka yang menjadi kordinator di fakultas, perwakilan dari PGSD Unnes Ngaliyan dan Tegal, serta perwakilan dari Unit Kegiatan Kerohanian Islam (UKKI), Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa penelitian, dan EDS,” ujarnya.

Prof Masrukhi juga mengatakan, tujuan dari kegiatan adalah untuk mengetahui pengelolaan Bidikmisi di Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November (ITS) dan Universitas Airlangga (Unair).

Studi PKM

Kegiatan studi lapangan kali ini juga menekankan kepada pengelolaan bidang karya tulis ilmiah terutama Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) di ITS dan Unair. “Karena ITS dan Unair dalam beberapa tahun terakhir ini hampir selalu menduduki posisi sepuluh besar tertinggi dalam Pekan Ilmiah Nasional (Pimnas),” katanya.

Dalam kesempatan yang sama, PR III ITS Bambang Sampurno mengatakan, di ITS sendiri belum terdapat organisasi perkumpulan mahasiswa Bidikmisi yang resmi. “Untuk pengelolaan PKM lebih banyak diurus oleh kepala laboran (Kalab) beserta para staf. Untuk menunjang pengelolaan PKM  para Kalab di ITS diberikan sosialisasi tentang PKM,” tandasnya.

“Kami juga memberikan pelatihan kepada para mahasiswa yang sebelumnya telah lolos Pimnas untuk menjadi kakak pendamping yang akan mendampingi dan membantu mahasiswa dalam penyusunan PKM,” kata Bambang Sampurno.

Selain itu, menurut Bambang, di ITS juga diberikan penghargaan untuk mahasiswa dan dosen yang mengusulkan PKM. “Reward terdiri dari uang pengganti cetak proposal, pemberian snack untuk mahasiswa dan dosen pembimbing untuk PKM yang didanai, biaya akomodasi ditanggung ITS saat PIMNAS, juga diberikan potongan biaya perkuliahan untuk para peraih juara dalam Pimnas,” katanya.

Berbeda dengan ITS, di Unair sudah didirkan perkumpulan mahasiswa Bidikmisi secara resmi yang bersifat semi otonom yang disebut dengan Airlangga University Bidik Misi Organization (AUBMO).

Pengelolaan PKM di Unair juga melibatkan peran mahasiswa. Divisi Penalaran dan Sumber Daya Manusia (PSDM) BEM Unair mengadakan pelatihan kepada para mahasiswa yang sebelumnya telah lolos Pimnas untuk menjadi reviewer dalam monitoring pelaksanaan PKM (Monitoring I).

Setelah monitoring I dilaksanakan, baru dilaksanankan monitoring II yang reviewer-nya terdiri atas dosen. Setelah monitoring II, diadakan camping bersama para mahasiswa yang lolos Pimnas untuk berlatih cara presentasi dan menjawab pertanyaan yang baik.
