408 Mahasiswa UNNES Dapat Beasiswa Dewan Penyantun

Sebanyak 408 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menerima beasiswa Dewan Penyantun Pendidikan UNNES. Dengan beasiswa tersebut, mereka dapat kuliah hingga semester 8 tanpa membayar uang kuliah tunggal.

Total nilai beasiswa tersebut adalah 2,4 miliar yang bersumber dari Dewan Penyantun Pendidikan UNNES. Adapun Dewan Penyantun Pendidikan terdiri atas 14 pengusaha nasional yang memiliki kepedulian terhadap pendidikan tinggi, khususnya UNNES.

Ketua Dewan Penyantun UNNES Gunawan Tjokro berharap beasiswa tersebut dapat memacu mahasiswa UNNES agar lebih fokus kuliah dan berprestasi.

“Semoga beasiswa ini bermanfaat, mahasiswa UNNES bisa fokus kuliah dan lebih fokus berprestasi,” kata Komisaris Utama PT Dynaplast yang juga anggota Majelis Wali Amanat (MWA) UNNES tersebut.

Ia berpendapat bahwa mahasiswa UNNES memiliki talenta yang sangat baik di berbagai bidang. Ia berharap mahasiswa dapat terus berprestasi di berbagai bidang sehingga dapat menciptakan masa depan yang lebih baik bagi diri dan keluarganya.

Rektor UNNES Prof. Dr. S Martono, MSi menghaturkan terima kasih atas perhatian Dewan Penyantun UNNES. Menurutnya, perhatian para pengusaha yang terhimpun dalam Dewan Penyantun UNNES sangat berarti bagi UNNES.

“Terima kasih atas kepedulian Bapak dan Ibu Dewan Penyantun Pendidikan UNNES. Perhatian dari Dewan Penyantun sangat berarti bagi UNNES,” katanya.

Ia menjelaskan, beasiswa akan diberikan kepada 408 mahasiswa yang mendapat UKT golongan 1 dan 2. Mereka dinilai berhak mendapatkan beasiswa tersebut karena sebagian besar berasal dari keluarga ekonomi menengah ke bawah.

Beasiswa diberikan hingga semester 8 untuk memotivasi mahasiswa bisa menyelesaikan studinya pada semester 8.

Sebelumnya diberitakan, sejumlah pengusaha nasional membentuk Dewan Penyantun UNNES.

Menko Perekonomian Dr (H.C.) Airlangga Hartarto menjadi penasihat Dewan Penyantun. Adapun pengusaha nasional Gunawan Tjokro yang juga anggota Majelis Wali Amanat (MWA) UNNES didaulat menjadi Ketua.

Selain keduanya, terdapat 12 pengusaha nasional yang masuk menjadi anggota Dewan Penyantun. Mereka adalah Ivan Cokro Saputra (PT Gunanusa Eramandiri, Tbk), Harris Pranatajaya (PT Bumimulia Indah Lestari), Tony T. Hambali (PT Dynaplast), dan Bachtiar Lasiman (PT Multi Welindo).

Selanjutnya, Igianto Joe (PT Prasidha Aneka Niaga Tbk), Ridwan Rachmat (PT Hartaperindo Sejahtera), Santoso (PT Palm Mas Asri), Maria Elizabeth Juanita (PT Mitrapak Eramandiri), David Atmadja (PT Mayora Tbk), Stefanus Indrajaya (PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk), Jemmy Tamstil (Patria Group), dan Azalia (Yayasan Wings Peduli).
