3.131 Mahasiswa Unnes PPL di 8 Derah

Sebanyak 3.131 mahasiswa semester gasal 2011 Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) dilepas untuk mengikuti Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) di sejumlah sekolah mitra yang tersebar di delapan kota/kabupaten. Pelepasan dilakukan oleh Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akademik (PR I) Agus Wahyudin MSi,  Senin (8/8), di halaman rektorat kampus Sekaran.

Mereka terdiri atas mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) sebanyak 563 orang, FBS (683 ), FIS (368), FMIPA (452), FT (341), FIK (443), dan FE (309).

“Indikator sebagai guru yang berkualitas, guru yang bermutu, guru yang berkarakter, guru yang bermartabat yang sudah ditetapkan secara nasional adalah Saudara dituntut memiliki empat kompetensi, yakni kompetensi profesional,  pedagogik, sosial, dan kompetensi personal,” kata Agus Wahyudin MSi.

Karena itu, PR I berpesan kepada para calon praktikan agar melakukan apresiasi dalam komunitas di lingkungan sekolah masing-masing. “Saudara tidak mungkin hanya memiliki tiga aspek kompetensi tanpa ditopang oleh pribadi yang luhur, pribadi yang jujur, yang penuh dengan pengabdian, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab. Empat elemen itu akan menjadikan harga diri Saudara diterima, dihormati, dan diapresiasi oleh seluruh masyarakat khususnya para siswa saudara,” katanya.

PR I juga berpesan kepada mereka agar menancapkan sebuah keyakinan bahwa setiap praktikan merupakan bagian dari elemen bangsa yang ingin memperbaiki bangsa melalui pendidikan generasi masa depan.

“Kegiatan PPL merupakan salah satu rangkaian proses yang harus diikuti menjadi seorang guru yang profesional. Tunjukkan Saudara adalah calon guru yang berkualitas, calon guru yang profesional yang akan lahir dari Unnes,” katanya.

Dia juga mengemukakan, penerjunan merupakan peristiwa untuk merenung akan sejauh mana bidang studi yang diperoleh dari bangku kuliah akan diamalkan. “Bila Saudara merasa ada yang kurang dalam bidang studi, masih ada kesempatan untuk lebih memperkokoh dalam hal kompetensi  bidang studi. Sehingga secara profesional kompetensi saudara menjadi andal sebagai guru, sebab dengan cara demikian Saudara bangga dengan diri Saudara.”

Kepala Pusat PPL Drs Masugino MPd melaporkan, micro teaching dilaksanakan pada  tanggal 18 – 29 Juli 2011, pembekalan PPL 3-5 Agustus, observasi dan orientasi PPL sekolah mitra 8-22 Agustus, dan praktik mengajar di sekolah mitra 23 Agustus sampai 16 Oktober 2011.

Dia juga melaporkan, mahasiswa PPL diterjunkan oleh dosen koordinator pembimbing ke 190 sekolah mitra yang tersebar di delapan daerah kabupaten/kota, yakni Kota Semarang, Kabupaten Semarang, Kota Magelang, Kabupaten Magelang, Kabupaten Batang, Kabupaten Kendal, Kabupaten Kudus, dan Kota Tegal.
