25 Dosen Muda Ikuti Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris

Sebanyak 25 dosen muda yang mengajar di Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) mengikuti pelatihan bahasa Inggris. Pelatihan berlangsung  selama satu bulan.

“Pelatihan ini untuk meningkatkan penguasaan bahasa Inggris peserta agar dapat mengikuti tes profisiensi bahasa Inggris yang diakui secara internasional, seperti IELTS dan TOEFL dengan nilai yang mencukupi untuk persyaratan studi lanjut, baik S2 maupun S3 di luar negeri,” kata Ketua Panitia Pelaksana Suprapto MHum saat pembukaan di Gedung Bundar Dekanat FBS Unnes,  Selasa (2/8).

Menurut dia, kegiatan ini diikuti 25 dosen muda yang mendapat skor tertinggi dari hasil tes awal bahasa Inggris yang dilakukan pada tanggal 28 dan 30 Juli yang lalu. Pelatihan ini dilakukan selama satu bulan penuh sepanjang Agustus dengan lima belas sesi per minggu. “Oleh sebab itu, semua kegiatan harus diikuti peserta pelatihan,” katanya.

Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Sudijono Sastroatmodjo MSi saat membuka acara mengatakan, kegiatan ini untuk mempersiapkan dosen muda yang akan melanjutkan studi, baik S2 maupun S3 ke luar negeri. “Kesempatan ini jangan di sia-siakan,” katanya.

    saya sebagai salah satu peserta pelatihan tersebut turut bangga dan respect terhadap kebijakkan pimpinan Unnes yang begitu mendukung para dosen muda untuk lebih menguasai kemampun berbahasa inggris, semoga lepas satu bulan nanti selain kami bisa ‘casciscus’ berbahasa inggris, kami juga mendapatkan score IELTS minimal 7, Amin… Terima Kasih seluruh panitia juga Unnes..

Bagaimana untuk tenaga administrasinya pak? seperti untuk para Pustakawan seperti saya, apakah ada program tersebut atau sejenisnya? mengingat Unnes memiliki visi menuju Universitas Bertaraf Internasional? Saat ini mahasiswa Unnes juga ada beberapa yang berasal dari luar negeri, sehingga kami juga dapat mengimbangi dalam berkomunikasi dengan mereka, sambil belajar bahasa dan budaya mereka… Trimakasih ats tanggapan bapak.. 🙂
