2013, Anggaran Tunjangan Profesi Guru Naik Rp13 T

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Tahun depan, pemerintah akan meningkatkan anggaran untuk membayar tunjangan profesi guru sekitar Rp 13 triliun. Jika pada tahun ini anggarannya mencapai Rp 30 triliun, anggaran tahun 2013 menjadi sekitar Rp 43 triliun.

Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Mendikbud) Mohammad Nuh menyampaikan, peningkatan anggaran tersebut merupakan imbas dari adanya penambahan guru baru. Diperkirakan, guru yang telah disertifikasi tahun ini akan bertambah sekitar 250.000.

“Naik menjadi Rp 43 triliun, bahkan exercise kami mencapai Rp 46 triliun. Kenapa banyak? Karena ada penambahan guru yang lolos sertifikasi,” kata Nuh seusai memimpin upacara peringatan HUT Ke-67 Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia, Jumat (17/8/2012), di Gedung Kemdikbud, Jakarta.

Dia menjelaskan, peningkatan anggaran tunjangan profesi juga disebabkan banyaknya guru berstatus pegawai negeri sipil (PNS) tersertifikasi yang naik golongan. Otomatis, kenaikan gaji akan menyusul. Apalagi, sesuai ketentuan, tunjangan profesi diberikan sebesar satu kali gaji untuk guru PNS bersertifikat.

“Karena golongan naik, maka tunjangannya juga naik, dan ditambah lagi 250.000 guru pendatang baru,” ujarnya.

Tunjangan profesi guru atau disebut juga tunjangan profesi pendidik diberikan oleh pemerintah untuk membantu guru menutupi biaya peningkatan mutunya. Dengan tunjangan sebesar satu kali gaji (guru PNS) dan Rp 1.500.000 (guru non-PNS) diharapkan guru dapat meningkatkan mutunya secara mandiri, mulai dari keperluan untuk membeli buku-buku pengayaan atau untuk biaya melanjutkan studi.
