Replika Wajah Kartini Pecahkan Rekor Muri

Gugus Latih Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (MIPA) Racana Wijaya Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) berhasil mencatatkan diri pada Museum Rekor Dunia-Indonesia (Muri) atas replika wajah Kartini terbesar.

Piagam penghargaan diserahkan langsung oleh  Deputy Manager Muri Ariyani Siregar kepada dosen pembimbing Gugus Latih MIPA Drs Eling Purwantoyo MSi, di halaman parkir Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA), kampus Sekaran, Sabtu (21/4).

“Ukuran usulan rekor semula adalah 4 X 6 meter, namun ketika dilakukan pengukuran langsung dilapangan ternyata lebarnya 4,2 merter dan tingginya 6,9 meter,” kata Ariyani Siregar.

Dia juga mengemukakan, sebelumnya Unnes beberapa kali pernah mencatat prestasinya di Muri antara lain pada tahun 2007 dari Mipa Unnes pernah mencatat replika wajah kartini dari kulit kerang terbanyak, replika tugu muda dari sampah, lambang pendidikan tut wuri handayani dari foto mahasiswa, replika wayang punakawan dari uang koin. “Dan hari ini, MIPA Unnes telah membuat rekor yaitu replika wajah kartini dari rangkaian batok kelapa terbesar,” katanya.

Ketua Gugus Latih MIPA Racana Wijaya Adhitya Chandra mengatakan, replika ini dibuat dalam rangka memperingati hari Kartini tanggal 21 April 2012. Dibuat hanya semalam, mulai menempel pertama kali hari Jumat pukul 00.00 selesai Sabtu pagi pukul 08.00, dan memakan waktu 9 jam.

“Replika ini menghabiskan 5 karung batok, tiap karungnya seberat 30 kg jadi kurang lebih memerlukan batok kelapa 150 kg dikerjakan bersama-sama sekitar 20 orang dengan cara di lem,” tandas Adhitya.

Dia juga mengemukakan ide membuat replika ini berasal dari rapat-rapat anggota memasuki peringatan hari Kartini kemudian disepakati membuat replika wajah Kartini dari batok kelapa, karena pramuka itu identik dengan tunas kelapa dan batok kelapa kurang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat hanya untuk kayu bakar atau dibuat arang. “Maka kami menggunakannya untuk yang lebih bermanfaat,” kata Adhitya.

Adhitya menambahkan, tingkat kesulitannya itu pada waktu menempelkan karena permukaan batok tidak rata. “Di sisi lain batok harus merekat dengan kuat supaya tidak lepas, maka kami menggunakan lem cair,” pungkasnya.
