10 Prodi Unnes Kembangkan Kurikulum Internasional

Puluhan dosen dari 10 program studi di Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) yang lolos dalam Pilot Project Pengembangan Kurikulum Internasional, mendapat pelatihan pengembangan Silabus dan satuan acara perkuliahan (SAP), Senin (16/6), di Hotel Crowne Plaza, Semarang.

Kesepuluh prodi itu adalah Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat S1, Pendidikan IPS S2, Teknik Kimia S1, Pendidikan Olahraga S3, Pendidikan Matematika S1, Ilmu Hukum S1, Sastra Jawa S1, Geografi S1, Ekonomi Pembangunan S1, dan Pendidikan Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PG-PAUD) S1.

Guru Besar di Massey University Institute of Education, Claire Jane McLachan, mengatakan dalam kurikulum berstandar internasional, sebuah lembaga harus selalu melihat perkembangan dunia internasional.

Menurutnya, perubahan dalam proses pembelajaran dapat dilakukan secara dinamis, asalkan tidak merubah Silabus dan SAP secara prinsip. Perubahan dalam perangkat pembelajaran, menurut dia, dilakukan pada semester berikutnya atau tahun berikutnya sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan evaluasi hasil pembelajaran.

Ketua Umum Badan Musyawarah Perguruan Swasta, Achmad Fathoni Rodli, memaparkan pentingnya proses pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi. Para pengajar, menurutnya, dapat mengoptimalkan e-book sebagai bahan ajar.

“Mahasiswa tidak lagi harus hadir di kelas. Semua materi dan penugasan dapat disampaikan lewat website yang terintegrasi,” ujarnya.

Pengajar pada Prodi Teknik Kimia Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Tjokorde Walmiki Samadhi, memaparkan teknis akreditasi yang dilakukan oleh lembaga akreditasi internasional, Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Dia mengatakan, dalam proses akreditasi, yang terpenting prodi selalu melakukan dokumentasi atas berbagai hal.

“Karya tulis dan rekam jejak dalam wujud apa pun yang berkaitan dengan karya dan upaya perbaikan prodi, sangat penting untuk disimpan. Jika belum ada, maka segera lengkapi. Ini hal mendasar yang sering diabaikan,” kata dia.

Hal itulah yang akan menjadi penilaian utama lembaga akreditasi ABET. Sejauh mana prodi melakukan perbaikan terhadap mutu internal secara terus-menerus akan menjadi poin terpenting dalam kelulusan akreditasi internasional.

    Selangkah lebih maju, mungkin kedepan bukan hanya teks kurikulum yang berlabel International tapi bagaimana perangkatnya, dosennya, dll, semoga internasionalisasi Unnes makin dekat, amin
