1.850 Mahasiswa Bidikmisi Ikuti Training ESQ

Tak kurang dari 1.900 mahasiswa Unnes yang terdiri dari 1.850 mahasiswa program bidimisi dan 50 orang mahasiswa fungsionaris Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) mengikuti training Emotional Spiritual Quetient (ESQ), di auditorium Unnes kampus Sekaran, Kamis-Jumat (1-2/3).

Rektor Unnes Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo MSi dalam sambutannya mengungkapkan, dirinya sangat mengapresiasi kegiatan ESQ. “Saya berharap kegiatan ini mampu memberikan motivasi bagi mahasiswa Unnes terutama mahasiswa bidikmisi untuk berprestasi dan pandai bersyukur,” katanya.

Acara yang menghadirkan Putra Kurniawan sebagai trainer itu mampu menarik perhatian para peserta. Terbukti, selama dua hari acara diselenggarakan, jumlah peserta yang mengikuti acara tersebut tidak berkurang. “Awalnya saya tidak tertarik untuk mengikuti acara ini, tetapi karena bujukan dari seorang teman saya akhirnya ikut. Ternyata, setelah mengikuti ESQ di hari pertama saya langsung tertarik dan bersyukur mengikuti acara ini,” kata Heri, mahasiswa bidikmisi semester II Fakultas Ilmu Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Unnes. “Saya semakin percaya diri dan termotivasi oleh setiap kalimat yang di ucapkan oleh trainer,” katanya.

Alamsyah SSi, MKom selaku Ketua Panitia ESQ mengatakan, kegiatan ini memang bertujuan untuk memotivasi mahasiswa agar berkarakter dan mampu menjadi agen konservasi. “Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk membentuk karakter mahasiswa agar mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan zaman dengan meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional mereka”, katanya.

Adapun materi yang disampaikan dalam pelatihan ESQ itu adalah inner journey, CEO character, zero mind process, star prinsiple, angle principle, leadership principle, well organized dan total action. Bagaimana mendorong mahasiswa Unnes untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan intelektual, emosional dan spiritual agar mampu berprestasi menjadi inti dari acara yang digelar dari pukul 08.00 WIB hingga pukul 15.00 WIB tersebut.
