Menwa Diharapkan Jadi Stabilisator dan Dinamisator

Resimen Mahasiswa (Menwa) dibekali dengan kemampuan bela negara dalam posisinya sebagai cadangan bela negara yang siap tempur. Di kampus, Menwa diharapkan menjadi stabilisator dan dinamisator.

Itulah harapan Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan (PR III) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Masrukhi saat memberi arahan pada serah terima jabatan (Sertijab) Komandan Menwa Satuan 902, akhir pekan lalu di dekanat Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) kampus Sekaran.

Jaelani Aufa mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Elektro Fakultas Teknik Unnes dilantik menjadi komandan Menwa baru periode 2013 menggantikan Gunadi selaku Komandan Menwa lama.

Menurut Prof Masrukhi, Menwa dalam kontek ke-Unnes-an telah menjadi salah satu pelopor dalam melaksanakan kegiatan-kegiatan konservasi dan menunjukan prestasi-prestasi yang membanggakan baik bela diri maupun kegiatan yang terkait dengan kealaman.

PR III juga berharap, para anggota menwa ini tetap tekun dalam mengikuti kuliah sehingga bisa lulus tepat waktu dengan Indeks Prestasi (IP) yang bagus seperti yang telah dicontohkan kakak seniornya.

Jaelani Aufa juga berharap, anggota Menwa tetap menjaga eksistensinya di dalam Universitas maupun di luar kampus dengan bersikap legawa, pantang menyerah dan menanamkan semangat juang tanpa kenal putus asa.

Hadir pada Sertijab Pembantu Dekan Bidang Kemahasiswaan seluruh fakultas se-Unnes, perwakilan pengurus dari Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM), lembaga kemahasiswaan, alumni. Hadir pula Satuan Komandan Menwa dari Undip, IAIN, UNS, Universitas Muria Kudus, Universitas Wahid Hasim, taruna Akpol. Perwakilan dari Polda Semarang, Polsek Gunungpati, Dinas Kebakaran Provinsi Kota Semarang, Kodim, dan Koramil.
