Bringing pride to UNNES and honor to Indonesia, Dwi Tiga Putri, M.Pd., a lecturer in the Department of Physical Education at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, UNNES, successfully won a silver medal in the women’s team fairway woodball event at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand.
In addition to bringing honor to Indonesia, this achievement is also a source of pride for Semarang State University (UNNES), where Dwi Tiga Putri serves as an academic. Her dual role as an educator and athlete has not hindered her from continuing to excel at the international level.
This silver medal adds to Indonesia’s medal tally at the 2025 SEA Games and demonstrates that woodball has significant potential to continue developing and competing at both regional and international levels.
This achievement is proof that collaboration between the academic and sports worlds can produce proud achievements. Dwi Tiga Putri has not only made personal achievements, but also strengthened UNNES’ role in producing world-class achievers.
Dwi Tiga Putri’s achievement aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely:
The success of the women’s fairway team affirms the commitment to SDG 5 (Gender Equality), as it demonstrates the strategic role of women in competitive sports and leadership, while ensuring equal opportunities for women to participate and excel at the international level. Additionally, Dwi Tiga Putri’s role as a lecturer at PGSD FIK UNNES and an accomplished athlete reflects the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education), where quality education can produce globally competitive human resources who excel in various fields. These achievements are also inseparable from the synergy and collaboration between universities, athletes, coaches, and national sports stakeholders, which is in line with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) in supporting the sustainable development of accomplished athletes. On the other hand, sporting achievements at the international level also represent the implementation of SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) through the promotion of healthy lifestyles, improved physical fitness, and the strengthening of the role of sports in maintaining physical and mental health.
