Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) is committed to protecting employees’ rights to representation and promoting inclusive employment practices in line with Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8): Decent Work and Economic Growth.

UNNES recognizes the importance of employee organizations in representing staff interests, supporting employee welfare, and fostering constructive communication between employees and university management. Korps Pegawai Republik Indonesia (KORPRI) UNNES serves as an official employee organization within the university community, providing a platform for staff participation, solidarity, and engagement in institutional and community activities.

UNNES is strictly committed to ensuring that access to recognized employee representation is provided without discrimination based on gender or nationality. This institutional commitment explicitly guarantees that women and international employees have equal rights to join and participate in these organizations, subject to the applicable membership rules and the scope of the relevant organization.

The university’s approach to employee representation is intended to support an inclusive working environment in which employees can participate in recognized representative organizations and have their interests appropriately represented. UNNES continues to strengthen institutional policies and supporting documentation to demonstrate the formal recognition of employee organizations and the scope of employee eligibility.

Through these commitments, UNNES seeks to promote fair employment practices, employee participation, and an institutional culture that respects employees’ rights, freedom of association, and overall welfare.
