On Friday, July 11, 2025, the Al Iqtishodi Mosque held a blessed congregational Friday prayer. One of the key agenda items was the distribution of “Blessed Friday Rice” to the congregation on duty. This activity was intended to strengthen Islamic brotherhood and share happiness with others.
The Friday sermon was delivered by Mr. Aan Ikhsananto, S.Pd., M.Pd., who addressed a highly relevant topic in daily life: the importance of dhikr and gratitude to Allah SWT. In his sermon, he reminded the congregation of the many blessings God has bestowed, which are often overlooked. One of these is the benefits of dhikr, which can bring peace of mind and simplify life’s affairs.
The preacher also emphasized the importance of always being grateful for all the gifts God has given. With gratitude, life becomes more meaningful and blessed in good times and difficult times. He quoted Surah Ibrahim, verse 7:
“If you are grateful, I will surely increase My blessings upon you; but if you are ungrateful, indeed, My punishment is severe.” This verse serves as a reminder for Muslims always to be grateful for His blessings and avoid disbelief.
He also reminded us to seek help from Allah patiently and through prayer, as mentioned in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 153. Prayer and patience are essential to facing life’s trials, bringing peace and guidance in every step.
This activity also aligns with the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the first point, which is to reduce poverty, and the second is to reduce hunger. By sharing the Blessed Friday Rice, the Al Iqtishodi Mosque contributes to efforts to eradicate hunger and create social justice.
Furthermore, this activity supports the development of a more inclusive and sustainable society, based on the principles of the SDGs.
Hopefully, this activity can be a good example for all of us to continue sharing with others, maintain gratitude, and improve the quality of worship and concern for others, by practicing Islam’s teachings, rahmatan lil-alamin.
