About Us

In accordance with its vision and mission, Semarang State University (Unnes) always strives to improve quality and service through internal quality assurance activities. In 2007, the Chancellor of Unnes formed a Quality Assurance Team as an academic support work unit tasked with developing the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) (Chancellor’s Letter of Assignment No. 1611/J40/KP/2007).

In line with the change of Unnes into a Public Service Agency (BLU) work unit in 2009, the function of the Quality Assurance Team was upgraded to become a Quality Assurance Agency (BPM) through Chancellor’s Decree No 168/P/2009. Unnes has carried out SPMI by implementing a Quality Management System (SMM) ISO 9001: 2008 and IWA2 since March 1 2010 in eight faculties, 49 undergraduate study programs and academic activity support units (LP2M, BAAKK, BAUK, BPTIK, BPM, UPT Libraries) within the scope of academic services and supporting activities.

Mission

  1. Develop and implement SPMI at UNNES on an ongoing basis.
  2. Cultivating SPMI in every work unit at UNNES.

Organizational Tasks

  1. Planning and implementing SPMI at UNNES so that it meets the requirements of QMS ISO 9001:2008 and IWA2 within the scope of academic services and their supporting activities.
  2. Conduct internal monitoring and evaluation (monevin) of the academic service process and its supporting activities.
  3. Carry out Internal Audit within the scope of academic services and supporting activities.
  4. Report implementation results, formulate improvements and follow up on SPMI implementation with SMM ISO 9001:2008 and IWA2 at UNNES.
  5. Carry out assistance to improve the accreditation qualifications of study programs.

Organization Goals

  1. Ensuring the quality of the implementation of education to produce graduates with character, competence, self-development and high competitiveness.
  2. Ensuring the quality of research and community service that can improve people’s welfare.
  3. Providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
