As a unit that has duties and functions in managing the field of quality assurance, the Quality Assurance Agency (BPM) is responsible for achieving institutional and study program accreditation. One of the reputation supporting bodies, BPM has a team of accreditation managers both nationally and internationally. In addition to accreditation, international certification is a factor to consider in achieving an institution’s reputation.
In its journey, Semarang State University (UNNES) has accreditation status with an A rating nationally and was approved by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) in 2016 and will continue in 2021 to successfully maintain this accreditation status. Furthermore, UNNES won SUPERIOR status in 2022 through SK BAN-PT Number 1920/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/PT/XI/2022. At the international level, UNNES has carried out an assessment of the Asean University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) certification in 2019. As for international accreditation that has been passed, UNNES has gradually submitted an international accreditation process through the Agency of Quality Assurance (AQAS) accreditation agency based in Germany and has obtained accreditation results for 15 Study Programs.
At the national level, 100 out of 102 Study Programs from Diploma to Doctoral levels at UNNES have been accredited with details of 60 Study Programs accredited A, 30 Study Programs accredited B, 3 Study Programs accredited Excellent, 2 Study Programs accredited Very Good, 5 Study Programs accredited Good, and 2 Study Programs have not been accredited because they are New Study Programs.
