Semarang – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) is conducting an on-site accreditation assessment for its Biology Undergraduate Program by the Independent Accreditation Body for Natural and Formal Sciences (LAMSAMA) from June 1 to 4, 2025.
This activity is part of the program’s continuous effort to maintain high standards in higher education quality assurance. Previously accredited with an ‘A’ rating by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), the program now aims to achieve an Excellent (Unggul) status through this LAMSAMA accreditation process.
The on-site assessment involves a team of assessors from LAMSAMA who will evaluate various aspects, including the curriculum, human resources, facilities and infrastructure, student activities, and the outcomes of the university’s three core responsibilities: education, research, and community service. They are Prof. Dr. Dirayah Rauf Husain, DEA (Universitas Hasanuddin) and Prof. Dr. Enny Zulaika, M.P. (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember).
The Dean of FMIPA, along with the Vice Deans for Academic Affairs, General Administration and Finance, and Student Affairs and Alumni, have expressed their full support for this accreditation process. Faculty members, administrative staff, students, alumni, and partner institutions are also actively involved in the series of assessment activities.
The Rector of UNNES and the university leadership have conveyed their hopes for a smooth and successful assessment process, with the expectation that the Biology Undergraduate Program will maintain or even elevate its accreditation status.
With strong collaboration and the dedication of the entire academic community, it is hoped that the Biology Program at FMIPA UNNES will achieve the best possible outcome in this accreditation process.
