PGSD UNNES dan The University of Queensland Gelar Joint Teaching Bertema SDG 4: Integrasi Pendidikan Inklusif dan Kesejahteraan Emosional dalam Kurikulum Sekolah Dasar

Semarang, 15 Oktober 2025 – Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menunjukkan komitmennya dalam mendukung Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Development Goals/SDG 4: Quality Education) melalui kegiatan Joint Teaching bersama The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia.
Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada 15 Oktober 2025 dalam mata kuliah Pengembangan Kurikulum semester 3 angkatan 2024, dengan topik utama “Embedding Inclusive Education in Elementary School Curriculum.”

Narasumber utama kegiatan ini adalah Shiralee Poed, Ph.D., dosen dan peneliti dari School of Education, The University of Queensland, yang dikenal secara internasional di bidang inclusive education policy and practice.
Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh mahasiswa PGSD UNNES semester tiga serta para dosen pengampu mata kuliah Pengembangan Kurikulum.

Dalam pemaparannya, Dr. Poed menjelaskan bagaimana pendidikan inklusif diterapkan di Australia, mulai dari kebijakan nasional hingga implementasi di ruang kelas. Ia memaparkan bahwa sekolah-sekolah dasar di Australia berupaya menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang menyambut semua anak tanpa terkecuali, dengan menekankan kolaborasi antarguru, adaptasi kurikulum, serta dukungan emosional bagi setiap murid.  Menurutnya, pendidikan inklusif tidak hanya berfokus pada infrastruktur fisik atau materi kognitif, tetapi juga pada kesejahteraan emosional (emotional wellbeing) dan rasa memiliki anak di lingkungan sekolah.

Lebih lanjut, Dr. Poed menegaskan bahwa kurikulum inklusif perlu memastikan setiap anak merasa diterima, aman, dan berdaya untuk belajar sesuai potensinya. Pendekatan seperti ini, menurutnya, merupakan inti dari pendidikan yang berkeadilan dan berkelanjutan, sebagaimana diamanatkan dalam SDG 4: Quality Education dan SDG 4.5 tentang akses pendidikan yang inklusif dan setara bagi semua peserta didik.

Koordinator mata kuliah Dr. Wulan Aulia Azizah, M.Pd. dan Petra Kristi Mulyani, Ph.D. menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ini memperkaya wawasan mahasiswa dalam memahami desain kurikulum yang humanis dan responsif terhadap keragaman peserta didik.  “Mahasiswa belajar langsung dari praktik internasional bagaimana kurikulum bisa menjadi sarana membangun keadilan sosial dan kesejahteraan emosional di sekolah dasar,” ungkap keduanya.

Melalui kegiatan ini, UNNES dan The University of Queensland memperkuat kolaborasi akademik dalam bidang teacher education, inclusive pedagogy, dan curriculum innovation.  Kedua universitas berkomitmen untuk terus mengembangkan kurikulum yang berkualitas, inklusif, dan berpusat pada kesejahteraan peserta didik, sejalan dengan visi global SDG 4: Quality and Inclusive Education.
