Prodi Pendidikan Luar Sekolah (PLS) FIPP Universitas Negeri Semarang menggelar VISITING PROFESSOR “LEARNING MEDIA FOR NON FORMAL EDUCATION” Pada Jumat, 26 Juli 2024 di gedung A6 FIPP UNNES. Dengannarasumber yang akan  dibawakan oleh Dr. Daniel Churchill dari Universitas Hong Kong. 

Universitas Negeri Semarang/Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan dan Psikologi/Berita/Prodi Pendidikan Luar Sekolah (PLS) FIPP Universitas Negeri Semarang menggelar VISITING PROFESSOR “LEARNING MEDIA FOR NON FORMAL EDUCATION” Pada Jumat, 26 Juli 2024 di gedung A6 FIPP UNNES. Dengannarasumber yang akan  dibawakan oleh Dr. Daniel Churchill dari Universitas Hong Kong. 

Sebelum acara di mulai, sesi sambutan dari Bapak Bagus Kisworo, S.Pd., M.Pd. selaku ketua pelaksana kegiatan Visiting Professor Learning Media For Non Formal Education. Menegaskan bahwa peserta kegiatan (mahasiswa) dapat memanfaatkan teknologi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam dunia pendidikan khususnya ChatGPT asalkan tidak digunakan secara berlebihan karena jika digunakan secara berlebihan akan mempengaruhi semangat. Serta diharapkan peserta dapat memahami  dampak potensi kecerdasan buatan (AI), memanfaatkan ChatGPT bukan hanya tentang copy paste, bukan tentang penggunaan chatgpt untuk chatting dengan dosen anda  tetapi menurut saya itu adalah dukungan bagimu untuk selalu berkembang. Kegiatan di pandu oleh moderator Ibu All Fine Loretha, S.Pd., M.Pd.

Pada kegiatan ini Professor Daniel menjelaskan mengeksplorasi dampak signifikan ChatGPT dan kecerdasan buatan (AI) terhadap pendidikan digital. Ini dimulai dengan gambaran umum ChatGPT sebagai transformator generatif terlatih yang dengan cepat mendapatkan popularitas karena kemampuannya untuk memahami dan menanggapi pertanyaan manusia. Diskusi ini menyoroti potensi AI untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pendidikan melalui pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi, strategi pengajaran adaptif, dan metode penilaian yang efisien, sekaligus mengatasi kekhawatiran terkait privasi data, akurasi, dan integritas akademik. Selain itu, presentasi ini menggali peran analisis pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan praktik pendidikan dan menguraikan berbagai manfaat ChatGPT, seperti membantu ringkasan, pembuatan kuis, dan perencanaan pembelajaran.

Presentasi tersebut juga mengakui tantangan yang ditimbulkan oleh AI, termasuk masalah etika dan kesulitan dalam mendeteksi konten yang dihasilkan AI. Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, Dr. Churchill merekomendasikan agar para pendidik memanfaatkan teknologi AI, mendorong etika dan integritas, mendesain ulang penilaian, dan memberikan pelatihan tentang literasi AI. Ia menekankan pentingnya literasi kritis, komunikasi digital, dan keterampilan transdisipliner bagi para pendidik masa depan, menggarisbawahi potensi transformatif AI dalam pendidikan sekaligus mengakui adaptasi yang diperlukan baik bagi pendidik maupun siswa.
