Semarang, September 9, 2025 – The Faculty of Law, State University of Semarang (FH UNNES) successfully held the 2025 Constitution Webinar with the theme “Constitutional Amendment & Consolidation of Democracy”. This event took place at the Multipurpose Building of the Faculty of Law UNNES and was attended by academics, legal practitioners, and students from various universities.
This activity is an important forum to discuss the direction of constitutional development in Indonesia as well as the challenges in strengthening democratic consolidation. Through this seminar, participants were invited to understand the urgency of constitutional amendments that are adaptive to socio-political dynamics, without ignoring the principles of people’s sovereignty and the rule of law.
The Dean of FH UNNES, Prof. Dr. Ali Masyhar Mursyid, S.H., M.H., said that this activity is a form of university commitment in building a critical, progressive, and solution-oriented academic tradition. “This webinar not only enriches knowledge, but also becomes a collaboration space for students, academics, and practitioners in strengthening the values of constitutional democracy,” he said.
This activity is in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, which emphasizes the importance of strengthening just, peaceful, and inclusive institutions in supporting good governance.
With the spirit of FH Echoing, Digdaya Graduates, and Sovereign Law, FH UNNES continues to show its active role in the development of legal and constitutional studies, as well as making a real contribution to strengthening democracy in Indonesia.
