Semarang, August 22, 2025 – Once again, the Business and Asset Optimization Agency (BOAB) of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) successfully organized a lively and warm gathering on campus. This time, the event took the form of a series of competitions to celebrate and enliven Indonesia’s Independence Day, held on Friday (22/08) at the Parking Lot of the UNNES Entrepreneurship Building.
The event ran from 07.00 to 10.30 a.m., bringing together employees from all BOAB units. It began with a morning exercise session, followed by a communal breakfast as a warm-up before the main competition started.
The competitions included a hanger game, nail-in-the-bottle challenge, water tower building, and water relay race. These fun and engaging activities were specifically chosen to create a cheerful atmosphere while fostering stronger bonds among participants. In his opening remarks, Dr. Moh Solehatul Mustofa, M.A., Head of BOAB UNNES, emphasized that the competitions should also carry creative and educational values.
“This event is one way to strengthen togetherness and build an environment where everyone knows each other. I fully support incorporating creativity and educational elements into the competitions since we are part of an academic community. Too often, we get carried away by the festive side alone and forget the meaningful aspects,” he stated.
As the games unfolded, the cheerful spirit among participants was clearly felt. Employees joined not only to compete for victory but also to enjoy the camaraderie and take a refreshing break from daily routines.
In addition to the competitions, various door prizes and attractive rewards were prepared for the winners, ranging from household necessities to daily essentials. This further heightened the enthusiasm of all participants.
The event concluded with a group photo of all participants and organizers, leaving behind warm memories of this year’s Independence Day celebration. Through this activity, BOAB hopes to strengthen solidarity, boost motivation, and inspire greater enthusiasm for upcoming programs.
