Rabu (27/7) hari ini akan menjadi hari yang membanggakan bagi Firna Larasanti. Mahasiswa Jurusan Ilmu Politik Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) Universitas Negeri Semarang ini akan diwisuda oleh Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman.

Bagi Firna, wisuda adalah momentum yang istimewa. Sebabnya, ia lahir dari keluarga tidak mampu secara ekonomi. Kedua orang tuanya “hanyalah” pemulung dengan penghasilan tak pasti, kadang dapat pemasukan tapi kadang juga tidak sama sekali.

Misianto, ayah Firna, bekerja sebagai pemulung sejak 1993 lalu. Saban hari ia mencari rongsok dari kampung ke kampung, mulai dari Mapagan, Ungaran, Gunungpati, Sekaran, dan sekitarnya. Setelah rongsok terkumpul ia dibantu istrinya, Siti Mastianah, dan ketiga anaknya, termasuk  Firna.

Dari hasil gotong royong sekeluarga, mereka biasanya mendapat uang Rp50 ribu per hari. Menurut Misianto, itu nominal yang jauh dari cukup untuk mencukupi kebutuhan keluarga dengan tiga anak ini. Apalagi, keluarga ini juga harus menanggung sewa lahan rumah mereka yang berdiri di atas tanah bondo desa. Setiap tahun mereka  harus membayar Rp125 ribu per tahun.

Meski kondisi ekonomi keluarganya tak cukup baik, Firna memasang target optimistis sejak awal. Bagaimana pun caranya, ia harus kuliah. Dia bahkan siap membagi waktu dengan bekerja paruh waktu seperti yang telah dilakukannya saat masih SMA.

“Dulu biasa kerja sambilan. Kadang jadi penjaga toko, kadang jadi pelayan di rumah makan. Yang penting halal,” katanya.

Harapan Firna terjawab ketika ia memperoleh beasiswa Bidikmisi, beasiswa bagi siswa berpestasi dari keluarga tidak mampu. Dengan beasiswa ini, ia bisa kuliah gratis. Ia juga menerima uang saku Rp600 ribu per bulan untuk biaya transportasi, jajan, dan buku.

“Dulu bapak pernah bilang, kalau memang harus berhenti kuliah ya berhenti. Tapi alhamdulillah, bidikmisi mengatasi biaya itu,” katanya.

Ibunya juga selalu memberi dukungan moril. Di sela-sela aktivitas memilah rongsok, Siti sering memberi nasihat agar Firna kuat. Dia ingin Firna bisa sukses, menjadi anak yang berguna bagi sesama manusia.

Kini, Firna dan keluarganya merasa lega. Pendidikan S1 yang diimpikannya sudah tercapai. Namun itu bukan target tertingginya. Usai wisuda ia akan segera “tancap gas” agar bisa melanjutkan studi lanjut ke program master.

“Saya ingin ngajar, menjadi dosen. Makanya saya harus kuliah lagi. Kalau tidak ke UGM, saya pengin kuliah di National University of Singapure,” katanya. Dengan prestasi yang diraihnya, ia optimis bisa masuk ke salah satu dari dua universitas dambaannya.
