DPP IKA UNNES adakan Turnamen Tennis Antar Alumni

Ikatan Keluarga Alumni (IKA) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) kembali akan menggelar turnamen tenis antar alumni 2018. Turnamen tenis 2018 dijadwalkan akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 2-4 Maret 2018 bertempat di Tennis Outdoor Indor FIK UNNES.

Pada kesempatan ini Ketua Umum DPP IKA UNNES Dr Drs Budiyanto MHum menyampaikan, turnamen antar universitas sudah sering dilakukan, tetapi turnamen antar-alumni UNNES ini merupakan yang pertama kali. Kawan-kawan bisa hadir untuk bersilaturahmi dan meningkatkan keakraban. Bahkan bisa juga memberi masukan.

Ia menambakan, kegiatan tersebut juga dalam rangka memeriahkan perayaan Dies Natalis UNNES ke-53. Adapun dalam mengumpulkan alumni yang saat ini sudah berada di berbagai provinsi, pihak penyelenggara mengaku memanfaatkan teknologi. Aplikasi WhatsApp-pun dipilih sebagai sarana untuk saling berkomunikasi antar-alumni sebelum mengadakan turnamen tersebut.

Saat memberikan sambutan Rektor UNNES yang diwakili Wakil Rektor Bidang II Dr S Martono MSi menuturkan, saat ini UNNES sedang menuju tahun internasionalisasi. Kegiatan ini juga sebagai bentuk dukungan dari alumni UNNES kepada almamater menuju reputasi internasional lewat keakraban yang dibentuk oleh jaringan alumni UNNES.

Sementara Ketua Panitia Dr Wirawan Sambodo MT menjelaskan, kompetisi dilaksanakan dengan sistem pertandingan beregu dengan dibagi kedalam beberapa kategori. Kategori yang dipertandingkan adalah pertama Partai Prestasi (usia bebas), Kelompok Usia 105 tahun (usia maximal 55 tahun), dan Kelompok usia 90 tahun (usia minimal 45 tahun).

Adapun dalam acara temu alumni pada Minggu (4/3) mendatang, terdapat penyerahan beasiswa kepada mahasiswa berprestasi yang kurang mampu di UNNES. Sebanyak delapan mahasiswa dari seluruh fakultas di UNNES akan mendapatkan beasiswa sebesar Rp 5 juta.
