Profil Singkat

Program Studi Manajemen Kependidikan merupakan program doktor yang pertama di Sekolah Pascasarjana, Universitas Negeri Semarang dan diselenggarakan pertama kali pada tahun 2005 berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor: 1365/D/T/2005, tanggal 10 Mei 2005. Pembukaan Program Studi ini merupakan bentuk apresiasi, penghargaan, dan kepercayaan pemerintah Republik Indonesia kepada Universitas Negeri Semarang karena dipandang telah memenuhi persyaratan minimal. Meskipun demikian, Program Studi Manajemen Kependidikan harus menyiapkan dan mengajukan akreditasi program studi ke Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT).

Program Studi Manajemen Kependidikan beberapa kali mengajukan akreditasi ke BAN-PT dan setelah melalui perjuangan panjang, akhirnya Program Studi Manajemen Kependidikan meraih ‘Akreditasi Unggul’ berdasarkan Keputusan BAN-PT No. 2921/SK/BAN-PT/Akred./D.V/2021, tanggal 11 Mei 2021. Pada proses akreditasi sebelumnya, Program Studi Manajemen Kependidikan hanya mendapat status akreditasi “B”. Hasil akreditasi ‘unggul’ merupakan bentuk pengakuan bahwa Program Studi Manajemen Kependidikan telah memenuhi persyaratan akademik maupun administratif. Oleh karena itu, tidak berlebihan apabila Program Studi Manajemen Kependidikan mampu mencapai visi, misi, maupun tujuan yang dicanangkan.

Visi Keilmuan

Mengembangkan ilmu manajemen berorientasi tata kelola sumber daya pendidikan guna mewujudkan kecemerlangan pendidikan yang bereputasi dunia dan berwawasan konservasi.

Ahli manajemen kependidikan yang mencakup kemampuan konseptual dan praktis dalam aspek-aspek sebagai berikut:

  1. Menguasai konsep-konsep penelitian baik secara teoretis dan metodologi, serta mampu mengimplementasikan;
  2. Mampu menganalisis data dan persoalan-persoalan pendidikan;
  3. Mampu mengambil keputusan di bidang pendidikan secara tepat dan realistis;
  4. Mampu mengembangkan sistem tata kelola di bidang kependidikan; dan
  5. Mampu melaksanakan diseminasi temuan atau produk di bidang manajemen kependidikan.
