Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Semarang melaksanakan pelatihan Soft Skill Kepemimpinan Bertumbuh (10/4/21) secara daring melalui aplikasi zoom dan disiarkan secara langsung melalui aplikasi youtube. Pelatihan berjalan meriah dengan hadirnya tari Manggar Mayang karya Koordinator Prodi Pendidikan Seni Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Semarang Dr. Agus Cahyono, M.Hum.
Tari manggar mayang merupakan tari yang terinspirasi dari festival DUGDERAN yang merupakan festival khas Kota Semarang yang menandai dimulainya ibadah puasa di bulan suci Ramadan. Nama “dugderan” berasal dari “Dug” yang berarti bunyi yang berasal dari bedug yang dibunyikan saat ingin shalat Maghrib, sementara “Der” adalah suara dari dentuman meriam atau petasan.
Tari Manggar Mayang menceritakan tentang keceriaan, kelincahan, kesatuan, keanggunan dan kedinamisan remaja putri Semarang namun tetap dalam norma yang berlaku dan menunjukkan bahwa remaja Semarang yang mampu menjaga dirinya. Properti yang digunakan merupakan mahkota manggar mayang (bunga kelapa) yang menggambarkan tentang makna kehidupan
Dr. Agus Cahyono berharap dengan adanya penampilan tari Manggar Mayang ini dapat memberikan hiburan kepada para peserta pelatihan kepemimpinan bertumbuh dan menjadi inspirasi bagi peserta untuk berkreasi dalam membuat karya sesuai dengan bidang ilmu masing-masing. Karena sebagai kampus konservasi UNNES berkomitmen untuk melestarikan kebudayaan masyarakat.


The Postgraduate of Universitas Negeri Semarang conducted the soft skills training: Growing Leadership (10/4/21) via zoom application and broadcast live on YouTube channel. The training conducted in a merry with the presence of the Manggar Mayang dance by the Coordinator Study Program of the Master of Art Education, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Dr. Agus Cahyono, M.Hum.
Manggar Mayang dance is a dance inspired by the DUGDERAN festival, which is a Semarang city festival that is a symbol of starting to fast in the holy month of Ramadhan. The name “dugderan” comes from “Dug” which means the sound that comes from the drum that is sounded when you want to pray Maghrib, while “Der” is the sound of the beating of a cannon or firecracker.
Manggar Mayang dance tells about the cheerfulness, agility, unity, gracefulness, and dynamism of Semarang girls but still within the prevailing norms and shows that Semarang teenagers are able to take care of themselves. The property used is the Manggar Mayang crown (coconut flower) which describes the meaning of life
Dr. Agus Cahyono hopes that this Manggar Mayang dance performance can provide entertainment for the participants in growing leadership training and become an inspiration for participants to be creative in making works that relate to their respective fields of knowledge. As a conservation university, UNNES is committed to preserving the culture of the society.
