Rasional

Dalam rangka menyongsong globalisasi, idealnya pendidikan tidak hanya berorientasi pada masa lalu dan masa kini, tapi sudah harus mengantisipasi dan membicarakan masa depan. Pendidikan hendaknya melihat jauh ke depan dan memikirkan apa yang akan dihadapi peserta didik di masa yang akan datang. Pendidikan yang baik ditandai tidak hanya mempersiapkan peserta didik untuk sesuatu profesi atau pekerjaan, tetapi untuk menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang dihadapinya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Salah satu masalah pokok dalam pendidikan formal adalah masih rendahnya daya serap peserta didik. Hal ini ditandai dengan rerata hasil belajar peserta didik yang senantiasa masih sangat memprihatinkan. Prestasi tersebut tidak terlepas dari kondisi pembelajaran yang masih menerapkan pendekatan yang bersifat konvensional dan kurang menyentuh ranah dimensi peserta didik itu sendiri yaitu tentang bagaimana belajar (belajar untuk belajar). Dalam pengertian substansial, bahwa proses pembelajaran masih didominasi guru dan kurang memberikan akses bagi peserta didik untuk berkembang secara mandiri melalui penemuan dan proses berfikirnya.

Apabila akan meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik, tentu tidak akan lepas dari upaya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah. Upaya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran harus segera dilakukan. Di sisi lain perubahan paradigma pembejaran yang semula berorientasi pada guru beralih pada peserta didik, metodologi yang semula didominasi ekspositori berganti ke partisipatori, dan pendekatan yang semula bersifat tekstual berubah menjadi kontekstual.

Satu hal lagi, dengan pemberlakuan KTSP menghendaki pembelajaran tidak hanya mempelajari tentang konsep, teori, dan fakta tetapi sampai aplikasinya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan demikian materi pembelajaran tidak hanya tersusun atas hal-hal yang sederhana yang bersifat hafalan dan pemahaman, tetapi dalam materi yang komplek dan memerlukan analisis, aplikasi, dan sistesis. Untuk itu guru harus bijaksana dalam menentukan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dan dapat menciptakan kondisi kelas yang kondusif agar tujuan pembelajaran tercapai optimal.

Untuk tujuan tersebut, PPS UNNES dalam rangka memperingati Dies Natalis menyelenggarakan lomba inovasi pembelajaran, dengan harapan karya-karya inovatif guru dapat diseminasikan dan dapat sebagai bahan rujukan guru-guru di sekolah lain.

Ketentuan Lomba

  1.  Tema: Peningkatan Mutu Pembelajaran Melalui Implementasi Pembelajaran Inovatif.
  2. Peserta lomba meliputi Guru SD-MI/SMP-MTs./SMA-MA/SMK.
  3. Format penulisan: naskah diketik dengan spasi 1,5, Huruf Times New Roman, Font 12, Margin atas 4cm, bawah 3cm, Kanan 3cm, Kiri 4cm, maksimal 25 halaman, Cover depan bertuliskan: 1) Judul; 2) Tuliskan “ Dalam Rangka Mengikuti Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah Bagi Guru-guru Se Jawa Tengah yang diselenggarakan oleh PPS UNNES Semarang”, 3) Nama Peserta, 4) Tempat Dinas, 5) Tahun.
  4. Sistematika penulisan meliputi: 1) Abstrak, 2) Pendahuluan, 3) Kajian Teoretik, 4) implementasi/pembahasan, 5) Penutup, dan 6) Daftar Pustaka.
  5. Aspek penilaian: Originalitas gagasan, Keinovatifan, Fisibilitas implementasi, Kebahasaan, Logis dan runtut.
  6. Pengiriman naskah diterima paling lambat tanggal 21 Mei 2012 melalui e-mail: [email protected] dan [email protected].

Hadiah

Pemenang juara I : memperoleh uang pembinaan Rp. 1.000.000, piagam, dan trofi

Pemenang juara II: memperoleh uang pembinaan Rp. 800.000, piagam, dan trofi

Pemenang juara III: memperoleh uang pembinaan Rp. 600.000, piagam, dan trofi

Mekanisme Lomba

  1. Naskah diterima PPS melalui e-mail paling lambat 21 Mei 2012
  2. Naskah yang diterima PPS diseleksi untuk menetapkan 5 (lima) naskah nominasi.
  3. Peserta terpilih (nominator) akan diumumkan melalui Website: http://[email protected] dan dihubungi melalui nomor HP.(silakan tulis nomor Hp saudara pada biodata saudara sebagai lampiran naskah)
  4. Peserta terpilih (6 orang) diharapkan memaparkan karya tulisnya pada tanggal 29 Mei 2012 mulai pukul 08.00 WIB sampai selesai, dihadapan 3 orang juri.
  5. Pengumuman pemenang dan pembagian hadiah akan dilaksanakan setelah acara paparan selesai.

Background

In a globalized era, education shall not only nurture the present and past-oriented mind, but also the future. Moreover, education should expand the horizon and think about the challenges faced by students in the future. A good education is about the preparation for a certain occupation or profession as well as the equipped skills to solve the challenges on a daily basis.

One of the major problems in formal education is the obstacles in student thinking marked by alarming students’ score. The problem is linked to the teaching process that often uses conventional approach and seldom discusses the student awareness on learning (studying for learning). In a substantial context, teacher dominates the teaching learning process and gives less access for students to independently develop themselves for an innovation and thinking process.

In order to enhance students’ achievement, the learning quality improvement must be prioritized as soon as possible. Further, there must be a paradigm shift that the expository method shall be replaced by participatory method, and textual approach shall be changed into contextual approach.

 

Further, school based curriculum should allow students learn concept, theory, fact and also day-to-day application. Then, the learning material is not only remembering and understanding, but also analyzing, applying not to mention synthesizing. Therefore, teachers should wisely determine the appropriate learning model that could enhance positive classroom environment in order to achieve the study objectives.

 

For that reason, in order to commemorate Dies Natalies, PPs Unnes is going to conduct a competition on learning innovation to disseminate teachers’ innovative works for the references to other educators.

 

Rules

  1.  Theme                         :           The Improvement of Learning Quality through the Implementation of Innovative Learning.
  2. Participants      :           Primary/Secondary/Vocational School Teachers.
  3. Writing format            :           the script must be typed with 1.5 space using Times New Roman font 12, above margin 4cm, bottom 3cm, right 3cm, left 4cm, maximum 25 pages, the cover format: 1) Title; 2) Write “In order to participate in Paper Competition for Teachers in Central Java conducted by PPs Unnes Semarang”, 3) Participant Name, 4) Workplace, 5) Year.
  4. Writing systematic: 1) Abstract, 2) Preface, 3) Theoretical Study, 4) Implementation/discussion, 5) Closing, and 6) Bibliography.
  5. Assessment aspect: idea originality, innovation, implementation feasibility, grammatical structure, cohesiveness and coherence.
  6. Deadline of submission is 21 May 2012 to e-mail: [email protected] and [email protected].

 

Prizes

Winner                       : cash Rp. 1.000.000, certificate, and trophy

Runner-Up                 : cash Rp. 800.000, certificate, and trophy

2nd Runner-Up           : cash Rp. 600.000, certificate, and trophy

 

Competition Mechanism

  1. The scripts are accepted by PPS until 21 Mei 2012
  2. The five shortlisted scripts will be nominated.
  3. The nominators will be announced in Website: http://[email protected] and contacted through. (please write your mobile phone number in the attached identity)
  4. The nominators shall present their papers on 29 May 2012 starting from 08.00 WIB in front of 3 judges.
  5. Winner announcement and rewards will be given after the presentation.
