To enhance the competence and professionalism of faculty members in their functional positions, the Indonesian Police Academy has established a close collaboration with the Institute for Education and Professional Development at Universitas Negeri Semarang (LPPP UNNES). This collaboration is realized through two main programs: the Basic Instructional Technique Skills Enhancement Program (Pekerti) and the Applied Approach (AA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Pekerti program, mandated by the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti), is designed to train young faculty members. This year, the Pekerti training was successfully conducted on February 27, 2023. The program aims to improve the pedagogical skills of faculty members in the teaching process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the Applied Approach (AA) program is specifically aimed at senior faculty members. The AA program focuses on practical approaches in the teaching process. The implementation of the AA program for this year will take place from September 18, 2023, to September 21, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What is interesting about this collaboration is the active participation of police officers ranging from the Commissioner of Police to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, who also serve as educators at the Indonesian Police Academy. This demonstrates a joint commitment to improving the quality of education in policing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The collaboration between LPPP UNNES and the Indonesian Police Academy is expected to positively impact the quality of education and training in the academic and police environments. It is also essential in supporting faculty members’ competence in their functional roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
