Semarang, May 4, 2026<\/strong> \u2013 Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held a ceremony to commemorate National Education Day 2026<\/strong> at the UNNES Rectorate Field on Monday (May 4). The ceremony was solemnly attended by university leaders, lecturers, education personnel, and students as a moment of reflection on the vital role of education in shaping civilization and the nation\u2019s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s National Education Day carried the spirit of \u201cStrengthening Universal Participation, Realizing Quality Education for All.\u201d<\/strong> The theme aligns with the commitment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education<\/strong>, which emphasizes inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the ceremony, UNNES Rector Prof. Dr. S. Martono, M.Si.<\/strong> delivered the speech of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, highlighting that education is the heart of civilization. Education serves as a space where intellect is developed, character is shaped, and the future of the nation is determined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEducation is the heart of civilization, a space where intellect is developed, character is shaped, and the future of the nation is at stake. Quality, fair, inclusive, and liberating education is not an option, but a shared obligation,\u201d the Rector stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The message served as an important reminder that educational transformation requires inclusive access, cross-sector collaboration, and impactful research. These three pillars are essential for higher education institutions in supporting sustainable development, producing excellent human resources, and strengthening the contribution of universities to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honoring Dedication through Satyalancana Karya Satya<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As part of the ceremony, UNNES also awarded the Satyalancana Karya Satya<\/strong> honorary medals from the President of the Republic of Indonesia to 75 employees<\/strong>. The award recognizes the loyalty, dedication, competence, honesty, and discipline of civil servants in carrying out their duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 6 employees<\/strong> received the Satyalancana Karya Satya for 30 years of service<\/strong>, 29 employees<\/strong> for 20 years of service<\/strong>, and 40 employees<\/strong> for 10 years of continuous service<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awarding of these honorary medals reflects appreciation for the dedication of employees who have contributed to the implementation of higher education at UNNES.
