{"id":6742,"date":"2026-04-17T15:36:32","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T08:36:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/?p=6742"},"modified":"2026-04-23T15:38:43","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T08:38:43","slug":"unnes-hosts-visiting-top-professor-to-strengthen-research-quality-and-international-publications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/sdgs\/unnes-hosts-visiting-top-professor-to-strengthen-research-quality-and-international-publications\/","title":{"rendered":"UNNES Hosts Visiting Top Professor to Strengthen Research Quality and International Publications"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) welcomed <strong>Prof. Dr. Rizalman bin Mamat<\/strong> from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) as a distinguished speaker in its <strong>Visiting Top Professor Program<\/strong>, a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening academic excellence and global research competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carrying the theme <em>\u201cEmpowering Scientific Writing, Enhancing Research Quality, and Advancing International Publication,\u201d<\/em> the program was held at the 3rd Floor Meeting Room of the Faculty of Engineering Dean\u2019s Building. The initiative forms part of UNNES\u2019 broader effort to support the <strong>OLOS (One Lecturer, One Scopus)<\/strong> program, which encourages each lecturer to contribute to internationally indexed publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, <strong>Prof. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T.<\/strong>, emphasized the importance of the program in elevating the quality of academic output. He stated that the Visiting Top Professor initiative represents a concrete step toward enhancing lecturers\u2019 capabilities in producing high-impact scientific publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis program is expected to strengthen the capacity of our lecturers in generating internationally reputable scientific work, while also supporting the achievement of the OLOS program,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program ran from <strong>April 14 to April 18, 2026<\/strong>, featuring a comprehensive series of academic activities. These included guest lectures on advanced research methodologies, experimental design, and scientific writing; academic workshops focusing on energy efficiency in the automotive industry; international manuscript clinics aimed at improving publication readiness; and collaborative mentoring sessions for students. Participants also gained valuable insights into effective strategies for publishing in reputable international journals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond academic enrichment, the program contributes directly to the achievement of several <strong>Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>.
