Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) continues to strengthen the governance of interdisciplinary research through structured, output-based measures of success. As part of this effort, UNNES uses bibliometric mapping to identify publications that reflect multidisciplinary collaboration, including the use of SciVal data to monitor research outputs. This approach helps the university assess research contributions emerging from the integration of multiple disciplines and supports a more systematic evaluation of interdisciplinary research performance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In addition to publication monitoring, UNNES has developed partnership-based interdisciplinary research funding schemes through special grants. This scheme is designed to encourage collaboration across academic fields in addressing increasingly complex scientific and societal challenges. In the previous reporting cycle, UNNES recorded IDR 18.815.108.411<\/strong> in research income allocated to interdisciplinary science research, demonstrating concrete institutional support for the development of cross-disciplinary research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The measurement of interdisciplinary research success at UNNES is also supported by the recording of publications within research clusters. Through this approach, research outputs are not only documented as individual achievements but are also mapped as part of a connected interdisciplinary research ecosystem. This mechanism provides a stronger basis for assessing research success through publications, collaborative projects, and the continuity of research themes developed across the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the success of interdisciplinary research is reflected in a range of multidisciplinary innovation products developed to support the academic community and campus management. Examples documented by UNNES include the myUNNES mobile app<\/strong>, UNNES Helpdesk<\/strong>, face recognition for presence detection<\/strong>, control systems for water and electricity consumption<\/strong>, and shuttle bus live tracking<\/strong>. These products demonstrate that interdisciplinary collaboration at UNNES goes beyond publications and also generates applied innovations with practical benefits for the university community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
